I love all of these consoles , I just dislike Xbox the least, the internet cost you :(
Based on graphics, PS3, Xbox's graphics are usualy fuzzier (maybe mines is poop?).
Gameplay Wii, PS3 some for xbox.

    i guess ps3
less worries, i like the interface, the games, the media :D, the design, controller, has a wide range of 3rd party products which are pretty cool.
It's not bad at all, and it has everything i'd actually use, except the photo thing and browser. SONY uses one of my favorite design styles, simple yet complex.
The design seems sturdy and well as sleek. Controller fits great in my hands with my thumbs where i want them, side by side.

well, 360 goes second for the games, the design, the worries, the controller, and investing 5$ every month(or 50$/year) for something that benefits me in so little ways to none at all, the interface.
i've seen what the 360 looks like inside and it adds to worrying on how to protect a plastic covered metal box w/ a shitty fan tunnel that shouldn't even be there!
I like the matte finish on the design and it's pretty lighter than i imagined it to be. The controller was a bit meh but it has a nice design compared to the old DC rip-off.
LIVE may be great, but i'm not paying for something just to play with my friends. Interface is pretty cool, giant "avatars' on the screen and the little floating icon on the bottom right makes it feel comfortable to use but really hard to navigate at times.

the wii, i'd like one but not now... or maybe never...

I have a few non-nintendo games on my wii.

Anything by capcom with only a few exceptions are great, a few sega are also there.

I will admit I have mostly nintendo games...brother wanted them mostly.

Everything the ps3 does my laptop can do (even blue ray) so no point for me, I have everything else...only thing it can't do is metal gear solid 4...no pc versions, I can live with that.

I, myself have the PS3, I haven't come across a singel lagg and as far as I know, X-boxes fail quite a bit because they brake down whole the time :D.

My XBox360 has been through hell and back. I traveled with it to Washington when I went there for college for a year, brought it back (I live in California), and it has never gotten the RRoD *knock on wood*. I own all 3 consoles, and I can honestly say that I've had the most fun with my XBox360. I got my PS3 about a year ago now, and I can spend countless hours playing Call of Duty 4 online. My Wii has given me some good games like Zelda and Smash, but I don't play it as long as I used... Is that bad? :'(

No, there hasn't been much to play lately besides New Super Mario Bros.

Xbox = faulty piece of crap with too many FPSes
PS3 = has very little exclusives, I'm still getting FF13 on it, though.
Wii = some decent games...a few years back...hmm, how long till Monster Hunter Tri comes out?

I have all of them, they're all pretty crap, to be honest.

    THIS(click it)

Is the reason that the PS3 will OWN the Xbox 360 in 2010. Final Fantasy XIV is one of the many reasons the PS3 is going to be (already is) better.

I think i have to disagree with you there. Although it's true that the graphics are up to the developer of the game, the PS3 has higher grapic capabilities with blu-ray backing it up.

Also... Am i forgetting something?... Ohhhhh, yes. The red ring of death. I don't think much more needs to be said.

I wonder how many games have sold per Wii compared to the other systems though?
Just about everyone I know in my family, friends, and coworkers who has a Wii plays Wii Sports, and that's it. It's like they buy the Wii Sports bundle, and just play Bowling all day.

I have a couple games for the Wii, not many. I own a handful of games for the PS3, and I own almost two dozen 360 games.

Just like Pong, remember Pong? Everybody played it, well not everybody, but enough people did to yield a game industry, Wii sports was Pong part 2, the game experience that got people who have never experienced games, into games. Pong still exists such as http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/436731 I expect that motion controlled games will exist in 2-3years, like Wii sports bowling fast forwarded into your kids future(actualy scratch that into your future in 5 or 9 months time). Can hardware do that speed?

To think that Nintendo or Sony have a bright or dull future is to be ignorant of the power of late investment in 3rd party hardware, and also consider the positions of the chip manufacturers, not a good advert to see your chips in bad hardware, and not good for business to have no chips running in market leading machines(FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUWWWIIIIIII!!!!!!)

This is old school thinking, or is it console school thinking; thing is, an open platform device(like a PC, old school but relevant) is real sexy for both developers and hardware people as they have a non-platform where they can mess with anything they want and create, unless they work for....(and it is hard to say names now it would be easy to kick Ubisoft or EA if I was typing 2 or 3 years ago, but these companies are more publishers than software houses now. Perhaps that's the problem but it is an aside to this discussion) Nintendo or Microsoft.

Problem is not software but hardware and Nintendo are the real criminals, third party development must be recognized via Nintendo's fuck you system of value. That means lots of people do not get to play with the weird ARM 9 chip, well to be honest people have been playing with the ARM 9 "Hollywood Burns" chip before Nintendo even thought of using it, but if your not on the list then fuck you inde developer.

A game is something to be played, so you have the gamer and the game. A gamer is no longer a gamer when the game means paying for advertising or playing for a side(who the fuck invented fanbois?!?).

That means my Christmas wish for you all is not only a game you enjoy playing but a game you can mess with and adapt to your needs without restriction on the platform you enjoy most. The best games of all time are the games that the loving players are able to be part of through adaptation and mods, legal or not. The best platform for doing that is the PC, so sorry but very true.

I wish you all a modified and very free Christmas.

Nintendo will win based on sales
Nintendo have shigeru miyamoto, he's set the bar pretty high with Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda and even starfox

Xbox have there own set of unique characters indivudual to the console, but when a major game company owns the rights to a game title like *mario* which practically everyone knows, you can't fail

plus there marketing is towards kids and a little bit to older generation gamers, where as Xbox is hard to find famous stars similar to mario that define that console that kids can play, after all, a kid can play mario party but he might not be allowed to play halo

But the war will continue for quite some time, with Xbox 360 and PS3 making as much money as they are, there would be no reason to not keep going even if Nintendo are winning
