To add to this, the only reason I'd buy Wii Play is for that Wiimote, and a cheap game disc in the process.
I've played Wii Play, and it's kind of blah, tbh. And seeing nobody I know even wants to play that over Sports and Resort.
I gave up on buying games, some(most) of them are FAR too short to warrant a 50$ tag.
I'll take my SMB3 and other S/NES games over ridiculously short wii games any day. HBC FTW.
Big N needs to stop forcing updates down peoples' throats, that kind of kills the whole trust bit between predator and consumable.

Can't wait for NSMBW, though. Lacks netplay so I can properly piss off my teammates by hoarding items. :p

Less short cuts please-I'm not educated in txt speech :(

I got bored with wii play so I sold it-what get;s my goat is one store where I go actually sold it AND brawl for the same price as the normal wii play pack-what the hell :(

And only a few games are worth it-metroid prime 3, mario kart, house of the dead, resident evil.

Anything else I won;t touch-though dead rising is preety good for a downgraded port..

I think this debate is pointless. Every system is a worthwhile purchase. It all comes down to what games you want to play.

Mario Galaxy, zelda, smash bros., and metroid: all great games and wii exclusive.

Uncharted , ratchet & clank, god of war, MGS4: all great games and PS3 exclusive.

Gears of War, Fable, halo, and Mass Effect: all great games and Xbox 360 exclusive.

PS3 has blu ray but not only for movies. a dual layer 8 gig dvd is way smaller than a dual layer 50 gig bluray disc meaning PS3 games can be HUGE. 360's online is unmatched although it does cost money. But you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. Wii's motion controls are yet another step closer to making games more interactive. At this point it's hit or miss depending on what game you're playing, but still a promising addition to gaming in general.

Whoever hates a system is either a fanboy or doesn't actually own the system they're belittling. I've lived through these debates with SNES vs. Genesis, N64 vs. PS1 and at this point I just hear what people have to say and wonder what they would think if games were never invented... I, for one, couldn't imagine.

Yeah, I really question as to why this and a couple of other topics exist in this board. It's all down to opinion, if this were a topic of which console was the most successful, well, that's easily answered and has been already. I love the games on all three of the systems, it's just that the Wii has the least amount of these games for me.

    Notice, for me. Opinion. :\

I already own a wii and 360... and will be getting a PS3 when God of War 3 finally comes out. At the moment I'm playing dead space extraction on my wii and STILL playing Gears of War 2 multiplayer online. ( I can't get enough of that game! :D)

P.S. I forgot to mention, since this IS romu, I'm playing the crap out of my DS and loving every minute!

I recommend getting a PS3 soon. A lot of good exclusives are finally coming out this season, Demon Souls, Rachet and Clank, and Uncharted 2. The Xbox and Wii a lagging behind this Christmas for some reason, I don't know why, really.

The only logical explanation I could give for PS3 sales possibly beating the wii or 360 this christmas would be that anyone who wanted a wii or 360 probably already own one and the PS3 has finally come down to a reasonable price point. Now would definitely be a good time to get one. Sony takes a loss selling them for so cheap but atleast they sell systems.

P.S. By the way nat, that's hot how your pic keeps changing. And nice to look at :3 Not hitting on you, it's just hot.

I can imagine that most people already have a Wii, I don't expect the sales to be as good as last year or the year prior (if you look back a couple pages someone posted that last year the Wii sold less, by 28 or so percent, whoa). Not the Xbox part, compared with the number of people who own a Wii and a 360, the Wii's numbers are huge. I think Sony have been striking it good with the Slim model, cheaper price, good marketing (for once) and good exclusives when the 360 and Wii have very little this Christmas.

I actually am hoping that the PS3 sells more than the 360 and Wii, I don't know if it'll happen though.

(I know you're not hitting on me... ._.)

ROFL the pic change was hilarious! ahhh... good times. Well, nice to meet you natewlie. See you 'round the forums!
By the way, if you haven't played prof. layton and the diabolical box yet you should, it's a fantastic game.

Oh shit. That was expected. I loled at the little bit at the end, there hasn't been much for the Wii this holiday season besides Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Brothers when talking about exclusives. Well I guess it could be considered strong since it's Mario, Mario games are usually well done.

Eh, I'm excited to hear the number of systems sold after the holidays. Well, as excited as I coult be about sales during the holidays (ie not very excited).

I've played it a bit, it's alright, some of the riddles are tough. I'm not really one for riddles though as I'm not the most cunning person in the world.

I LOVE puzzle games. Prof. Layton, Puzzler World, Sudoku Ball Detective and scribblenauts are great. They don't compare to adrenaline pumping games like Gears of War 2 or Manhunt 2 but still great non the less. I should stop posting here... these are not debate posts.
*Switches to new topic... seriously this time.*

I seriously recommend for you to look into Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series. They are great detective games in which you have to use your brain to put a case together, while at the same time, you can determine which people are trying to bullshit you during your investigation, and on the trial.

And, I wholeheartedly agree on what you say. Every system has their pros and cons, as Natewlie has pointed out. And it's unfortunate that some people (especially one particular person whom I won't bother mentioning as he is insignificant) choose to think otherwise and say one system is better than the other. It's just like the DS vs. PSP topic in which I have stated that neither of those two portable systems are comparable due to significantly different features, yet some people just have to say one system is better than the other due to their own ignorance.

To top it all off, the Ace Attorney series has a number of "adrenaline pumping" moments. No joke. At the end of the last case of the third game, I was jumping about, yelling "OBJECTION" like the life of my legal aide depended on it (har har har).

Ignore the bias I have for what's probably my favourite game series of all time; it's a position well-earnt.
I'm forced to agree on this matter, too. However, this is a debate, so claiming equality is a sort of killjoy.

Wow, talk about an irrelevant comparison. All it does is show that the PS3 is capable of higher resolutions, which won't make much difference for people who don't have massive TVs.

The actual quality of in-game graphics isn't just determined by the console in question; there are other factors, such as how textures, models or sprites are originally created, how they're compressed and how they're rendered.
