Majoras Mask was probably the hardest of the Zeldas on 64 (including Master Quest, even though that was for GameCube) followed by Ocarina of Time, and finally, Master Quest. The time system on Majoras Mask was the main source of my frustration on that game, but luckily, you could slow time down significantly. It wasn't that hard to fill up the Bombers Notebook ether :p Even though I only played Master Quest once I found it to be a lot easier than Ocarina, maybe because I was expecting what was supposed to be unexpected (such as weird positions of buttons, stuff like that).

i would love to play the master quest edition of ocarina of time, but i'm not willing to shell out 30+ on an n64 game especially since the game was given free on windwaker buyers.

I don't think Master Quest was released on N64?

No, it was released with WindWaker for the GameCube when it first came out, I don't think it comes with it anymore. Although, you could download the original Ocarina of Time ROM for N64, I think Master Quest is in there. And yes, it does work with a N64 Emulator.

it was released only in japan. i don't know if the release was an add-on for the dd64 when playing with ocarina of time or as a new ocarina of time remix cartridge game? it's been such a long time.

but i would love to play masters quest.

I like The Adventures of Link. It's not the best but I personally think it's the hardest.

Adventures of Link if that was the second one that came out for Nintendo where you had to fight yourself at the end. I think that was hardest game. AS for best, I give it to Link to the Past. The whole game was just well put together, bosses, music, gameplay. And for the fact that you could actually be screwed if you ran out of magic is pretty cool. Minish cap was very fun as well

It's not that bad actually, if you play it, it's quite fun. The green hat guy got on my nerves though..

The best zelda 2d game has to be Zelda II Adventure of Link.
The best 3d zelda game is Wind waker.

Link to the Past (#1, simply because it is)
Minish Cap (lots of new ideas implemented)
Phantom Hourglass (if only it was because of the way you have to copy the map)

On a sidenote, I've never played the 3D versions. Zelda is 2D.

The legend of Zelda : A link to the past was the best.
