So you need a fake mic blow in cheats, i asume you are using the no$gba emulator...

I don't think ysmenu would work on a R4i, however you could try the ysmenu kernal on a spare micro SDHC chip

Try patching the us rom

Did you try the (U) rom unpatched ?, most of latest firmware should run thease games unpatched, as (E) roms can be funny

They alway try to fix the USA versions

Are you using a DS or DSI ?, If you have a DS , most R4 original with www.r4ds.com on the box can be bought for £10 - £13 from most locale indoor markets, Not the SDHC type, and yes ysmenu will work with it

 

I have an R4i and yes i am using a firmware 1.58 that took me to the nintendo screen but no further.

Don't use all this firmware

R4 Kernal v1.18 + DSTT v1.17a12, Boot Ysmenu.nds for use of ysmenu, Updated 2010/01/25

Take out the ysmenu.nds and the TTMemu folder, place them two files onto the root of your microsd chip

Then run ysmenu.nds on the DS, then you will know if ysmenu work or not
