prepatch didnt work for me and when i patch it my self didnt work i am stuck on " unable to read data please turn off the power and reinsert the game card" i using R4DS SDHC v 1.32 http://www.r4sdhc.com

Try doing an Arm7 patch after you do the anti-piracy patch.

Confirming that it works on an original genuine r4 card, but only with YSmenu.

So what exactly did you do, I am still having no luck. I got my YSMENU from this thread https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=27617.0 and it seems to work but yet the battles still crash.

I patched with a patch I found around the forums (I don't remember who it was so I can't give credit). After I patched it worked on my R4/Clone. Its been 2 days and I've been playing it, it is fine. Here's the rom no need to patch or anything I patched already. You need to run it on YSmenu or do the arm7 patch.

I tried this patch and it doesn't work. I'm using r4sdhc kernal v1.32.

I get "unable to read data". Ive tried other patched and the hex method. What mistakes could I have made?

Once you get a ROM that has the "unable to read data" then you should do an Arm7 patch.

Yes, Tried prepatched and Uni patch and am still getting the battle freeze.

I used arm7 patch and It was amazing. Too bad the screen was a complete black....

I used Children of Mana as a arm7 donor, should I use a different donor?
Also, could any r4sdhc user who got the game working tell me what they did as well as what firmware they are using?

Hmm, I'm not sure why the game plays with the backlight turned off (you aren't the only one that said that...)

You could try using a different donor. But does the backlight come back on if you close your NDS, let the game go to sleep mode, and open it back up?

I tried sleep mode, but when i open it up, i still get a sleeping ds.

I think the problem might lie in the firmware I'm using. Maybe a older one may work? (too bad I dont know where to start)

There are a couple R4 SDHC types, but if you backup everything currently on your MicroSD before you start, you can always revert back to your backup if the different firmwares don't work.
