Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds World Championship 2010 [JP + US] - Universal Child's Play Patch

topic's name had changed to JP+US
does that mean U version has the same problem?

also I play this game patched (finished the game twice and didnt have a problem yet)
and I added cheats to cheat database for this game but they didnt work.
is it because I'm using the patched rom?

Edit: OK I found how to cheat
patched rom prevents cheat but original rom doesnt.
so add an original rom to your micro sd, try to cheat with that first,
and reset your ds, you can cheat with patched rom!

Kind of, it just needs a different patch. The patch for the US version is on the first post.

 

I don't know how the patch works. I've tried using the method posted, but when I try to patch it, it says that the universal code could not be found. On the readme file, it said not to use a rom downloaded off the internet, so which do I use.
Oh sorry I forgot, this is for the us version.
Edit: Never mind, I just saw that the code for the US version of the game wasn't listed as a game that would use the patch.

 

The "xDelta Fix for USA Version" worked on my normal R4Ds! DDDDDDDDDDDD

I'll try the patch on my real r4 and see if it works sometime this week. I'm pretty occupied with the jap version.

 

Using Edge card (not iEdge). Latest firmware 1.8. I tried all options so far:

-theK patch
-xDelta patch
-prepatched rom
-child's play patch
-reformatted

None of them worked. It just froze on a white screen when the game just finished loading (the moment the game begins). Would manually patching it make a difference?

 

hmm, I have a r4sdhc (christmas version) and I can't seem to get it to work - I've tried every single patch out there, is there something I'm doing wrong? latest firmware of this card seems to be 1.17B, + ive tried getting the 1.32 one from the normal r4sdhc to work but that one doesn't boot - I'm pretty much out of ideas

edit: used ysmenu as well, as a rom executable

Downloaded the ROM and tried playing on CycloDS firmware 1.58, game works fine until you try to duel. then it freezes up about halfway through the duel every time so far....anyone have a patch with instructions that might help?

So, patches have NEVER worked with me (using No$GBA 2.6a, now mostly with zoomer), and I don't think they ever will. But, now that I see this handy AR code for anti-piracy... I see that NOWHERE IN THE VAST ENTIRETY OF THE INTERNET, is the Game ID for the US version. NO. WHERE.

I was wondering if someone could use some sort of Christian Magic to conjure a Game ID for the US version; for if there's an obvious way of finding one, it's obviously not obvious enough. Kthx.

Ugh, I have some wierd problem, no matter how much space I make free on my Original R4 (firmware 1.24), I always get "Create Saver/Bookmark failure Storage space inadequate".
