I agree with that i once had a Intel P4 and in 6 months it burned down on me.

That is why I always go with AMD and NVidia for processor and graphics

OMG! that is insane! How much did that cost?
Anyways, this is the specs of my slow, crappy PC that I've ranted about. I re-instaleed Xp on my PC! Now it boots at 2 minutes with the sexy look of Vista, even thiough Vista sucks.

    256MB of DDR RAM
    AMD AThlon 1800+ 1.53GHZ
    40GB HDD
    NVIDIA GeForce 4 440 MX 64MB GRAM
XP SP3 with Vista Insprate 2.
I play DS games using No$Zoomer and it doesn;t really lag (except for kingdom hearts, it takes 3 minues to load...
...because the emulator loads the NDS file into the memory, then the page file!)
    Sell value: $20
The PC spec I want which is mimnimum for me:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz and up
    3GB of RAM
    XP Pro or Windows 7
    320GB HHD
    256MB of GRAM
Internet Connettion, my dad took years to get me Internet and I still don't have it! That is connected on my slow PC!
    Cost: $400

    What is good:
    4GB of RAM and Up
    Intel Core 2 Quad
    500GB HHD
    512 of GRAM
    Cost: $700

I've always used intel, and the P4 that I'm using now has been in the PC since it was built in 2001... I would like an i7 though...

The new series of Intel have been better then before , butt I still find that
Intel is for business people and AMD is for gamers.

2 GB of ram soon going run 4GB.

you need common sense, the ability to identify different parts and at least a vague idea of what goes where and does what.
