Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

    I dont believe the DSTWO wood plugin supports SDHC at all.

    Devilkid (a member here) who tested the plugin from my topic page where I posted the wood plugin for DSTWO specifically tested the plugin on non-SDHC version and SDHC version. He told me that the plugin will only work on Non-SDHC versions meaning it has to be 1 GB or 2 GB version as wood was originally made for R4 Original which runs only non-SDHC cards. Don't bother trying to make it run on SDHC cards, it just won't work.

    I even posted the information from Devilkid on my topic page below the download link for that DSTWO wood plugin. Maybe you missed it. ???

    What about WAIO then?
    That one could work on R4 SDHC, so try WAIO for me!

    I think there are some differences between DSTWO wood plugin and WAIO. I don't have DSTWO or R4 SDHC/R4i SDHC, so I can't test it myself. Maybe Damo or Blair can do that for you.

    Hey, umm... Sorry to bother (half a noob her :p)
    I have an R4 Revolution (confirmed R4 clone). It actually loads the wood for original r4, but I can't play games correctly. WAIO works fine, but my problem is I want to play KH Re:Coded, which currently should work it Wood 1.22, but my cart doesn't support Wood correctly and WAIO's latest v is 1.15. Any ideas on how can I make a WAIO with the Wood 1.22 firmware?? Or maybe give another option so I can play KH?? Oh, and Ghost Trick :p


    Forget about this, Retro's TT/YSMenu updates work on my cart ^^
    Sorry, I hadn't noticed it yet :p

    I don't used this plugin myself but here are the results with an 8G SDHC on a DSTwo
    When I try the DSTWO plugin I get "r4 is not support SDHC card!"

    Using WAIO v1.15 (REPACKED v2.0)(CK3) I tried as is and DS2 dldi patched with the same results in all cases.

    waio.nds, woodrpg_ak2i.nds
    loads gui, will save settings to globalsettings.ini, will not reset after changing setting
    wont load *.nds stays at game icon homebrew and commercial

    woodr4sdhc.nds,woodex4.nds, woodils.nds, woodm3.nds
    loads gui, will save settings to globalsettings.ini, will not reset after changing setting
    trying to run any nds file homebrew or commercial
    bottom screen says loading (yellow)
    top screen
    init fat succ
    fat0:/0034 zoo keeper (us).nds
    load (fat0:/0034 zoo keeper (us).nds)fail

    woodrpg_mod.nds
    sort of shows gui, shows flash memory dir ,microsd card, slot2, favorites.
    cannt enter mirosd dir,can enter flash memory dir,some of my files and folders are there
    but there are random folders and files that have garble character names that change every time you reset

    woodr4ls.nds
    loads gui, will save settings to globalsettings.ini, will not reset after changing setting
    bottom screen FAT Error(blue) nothing on top

    woodr4.nds
    loads gui, will save settings to globalsettings.ini, will not reset after changing setting
    bottom screen hangs on loading(yellow)v nothing on top

    Wood R4 v1.22 (CK3).NDS shows 3 icons (SD slot2 and favorites) on black screen no text anywhere, cannt enter any dir,no start menu
    Wood R4iDS Gold v1.22 (CK3).NDS hangs on loading screen will not load gui
    Wood R4iDSN v1.22 (CK3).NDS hangs on loading screen will not load gui

    Like it says WAIO v1.15, its not going to be updated anymore so it cant run the latest games!

    o_O
    just use an 1/2 GB SD card, and dont try waio on it then, only Wood for R4 Original!

    Dont buy an R4 at all, R4 is not a really good flashcard.
    Buy an Supercard DSTwo or Acekard 2i instead, those are much better!

    This isn't a topic about how to buy an flashcard but how to set it up.

    hi.. i have a r4i gold v1.41 website on box is www.r4igold.cn...
    the programmes on there didn't allow me to play new games.... i have used wood before but that was on my kids normal ds which worked fine...
    i have downloaded, wood r4idsn v1.18, wood r4idsn v1.22, woodv1.14 r4ids gold and wood r4ids gold....
    when i transfer them onto my sd card i transfer rpg file and ds menu dat..... i have a face come up to say loading the it turns red saying menu.....
    wat am i doin wrong??
    please help....

    It wont work on your type of flashcard, Try YSMenu!

    still not working... i just get the red face saying menu.......
    is there anythin else i can try as i don't want to be limited to the games that i'm playing....
    or could it be the game from the site i download from???

    did you take the YMenu folder?
    try downloading v6.43 not 45
