to make it invisible you dont need anything on your SD card, just go to your folder settings

I have a DSi XL and a R4i Gold card (r4igold.cn) with firmware v1.14b from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A0LD4NLP
I could select the Card menu from the DSi XL and see the contents of the card but none of the games will load.

I have downloaded Wood R4 v1.17 for R4iDS Gold and .NDS file to load Wood R4iDS Gold (v1.17) onto the card
Now when I select the Card menu from the DSi XL I just get a white screen and can't continue

Can i ask what version number is your R4i Gold?
also try Wood R4iDSn a second maybe that works!

The box states 'R4I GOLD Upgrade Revolution for DS (NDSi/NDSL/NDS)"

I will try Wood R4iDSn when my son is not around (It's his Xmas present!) and feedback how I get on

what card would you recommend? I have 8Gb micro SDHC so just need the R4

 

The best R4 is the 'R4 Original', thats the offical R4 but it doesnt support an SDHC car, only SD cards (MAX 2 GB)
As far as i know the best R4 clone is an 'R4SDHC' alto its not smart to buy any clone at all!
If you want a really good card then you should buy an Acekard 2(i)/Supercard DSTWO
Or if you want to keep it not to expensive an R4 Orignal (with MAX 2GB SD card)

 

do you have any UK sites you have used to source a Acekard 2(i)/Supercard DSTWO as I don't want to wait for Air Mail?

The most expensive and best is Supercard Dstwo, it can also run gba games and snes games on ds
Then a realy good one Acekard2i most games work if updated (DO TAKE 2i 2.1 doesnt work on DSi)
And R4 Original if you want it cheapm it can run almost all games if you use Wood R4 (HERE)

Any thoughts on these 2 options:-
- I could but just the Card and use my 8GB SDHC and load firmware as per the instructions in this thread (cheapest option)
- I could include an SDHC card in the order and have it pre-loaded from the site (easiest option but I may still need to update the firmware)

you can find all info there if it supports SDHC or not,
Also the Acekard doesnt use Wood R4, it just uses its own firmware witch is up-to-date!
But its one of the best flashcards out there!

Also maybe you can return the flashcard you buy'd before?

i know were the instructions are, i have tried to play the card with the waio, but there is a screen ful op very small stripes, i can see little maps with the games but i will not play.

its r4i upgrade (r4I-sdhc.com) r4i-sdhc 3 (is on the chip on the back of the card)

I think you have to wait till your card is supported, it doesnt seem to work, sorry

Hi all, I finally found the light ! Wood R4 is great. I have a N5 card, so I have to use WAIO v1.15. I am able to load some ROMs that previously only hang with white ot black screen. However, using WAIO it only loads sometimes. I cannot see the pattern in the fails. It stops on the loading screen, but no error appears. Usually it will load every 2nd or third boot. Id there a known reason for this? Did I do something wrong?

i wouldn't stick with the N5 card, its known for its chances of bricking ds's

 

It doesnt ig you fixed the card befor using!

 

How do you fix the card ?
I have had the card for two years and have not done anything special with it. I would like to know what I should do to make sure it does not brick my ds.
