You only need WAIO.nds. Use that.

huh but isnt it the same as i have now?

it is, but what that basically says is that wood will probably in the future work on this card aswell, and not just on r4 original. since the one that they have is an unofficial release. and there is still an official release to be out

its ok, i think it would be better, since its a video, that you actually do a video on how to add wood on r4, with hypercam should do, and the link for your thread for any questions people have?. but i loved the song! where is it from :p

It doesnt matter because Xenon++ doesnt want to let WAIO be updated again!
thats why he asked me to delete the RPGLINK files that you need to update the files!
I do have the RPGLINK files on my pc tho!

    Hey guys :)
Okay so I am absolute noob when it comes to flashcarts- I have one that I update only when I need to, and don't bother trying to stay constantly up-to-date. So I have a few questions.

Firstly, I have an R4 SDHC. I know that WAIO works on this, but I was wondering if I have to install the Wood R4 original firmware as well as WAIO, or is it just the latter? Probably a stupid question but I just want to be sure.

Secondly, I have a few unfinished games atm- if I simply change these files' names to nds.sav after adding the WAIO stuff will they play? Or should I finish them first before I change anything?

Thirdly, if the new stuff doesn't work, do I simply delete the files and reformat to go back to pre-WAIO firmware? I don't want to end up ruining the card if it doesn't work. Basically I'm asking if the updating is permanent?

Fourthly (and lastly), is the 'root' of the card simply the first thing you see when you put the card into the comp, or is it a folder on it? I'm honestly such I noob that I don't even know that xD

Thanks heaps to the person who wrote this thread btw- its very handy having all the files in one place! And thanks to people who submitted their updates and stuff :)

    1. Nope, you only need WAIO.
    2. WAIO uses regular .sav extension.
    3. Updates are rarely permanent, you can simply format your card (backup your saves first) and put the old firmware into your SD card if something goes wrong.
    4. Yes, root is the first thing you see when you put your card into the computer, hence the name root.
