Just wanted to say: I'm having a major problem with cheats on the Wood R4. I've taken all the help from other forums, but to no avail. I've gotten the usrcheat.dat file into the cheats folder into the folder marked __RPG and activated cheats in the settings. BUT when I go to the game and press Y (opens game info.) and then press X ( which is supposed to open cheats) but nothing happens. Any help available?

 

Okay i got it, so Acecard2i is more trustworthy as a non-clone, but now that Wood R4i Gold came out the R4i Gold is Now a Great Cart, maybe not as trustworthy as Acecard2i but still is now great!
I will try out the R4i gold before Acecard2i because it's much cheaper and it will have Wood R4!

Because the website i'm buying from Lists 3 Acecards and admits 1 is a clone version and they are all twice as much as the R4i gold.

Acecard2i - Clone ver: $11.08

Acecard2i - With box : $13.62

Acecard2i - without box : $14.84

R4i Gold: $6.76


and having looked at the R4i gold for sale and looked at the website www.r4igold.cn it is totally authentic.

So unless you think it will brick my DS or ruin my chip or even run roms worse than the original R4 with Wood R4.

Than for now i'll get R4i Gold unless (even with wood R4) you think I'm DOWNGRADING from the original.

Hopefully you don't feel i'm disrespecting your opinion because I Value it very much i Just REALLY want to know whether or not it won't work even with wood r4. and will it work with DSi v1.4 and older with wood R4? Thanks again!

I know this will make me sound like a real noob, but what is firmware? I'm not too sure what it is to be honest :/

 

Do you have a flashcart (an unofficial NDS card with a slot for a microSD card in it)?

 

A frimware is the menu you have on your SD card

that kinda, just a diffrent menu witch means that the compactabillety could be better!

 

WTF why are you talking about OS'? They are different things!

Firmware is what the card (so not the system, coolkill3r) runs on.
