Awww. Well, I see it staying there for a little while longer. There aren't many R4i Gold users, as far as I know. More of the other clones though.

 

Ok, I downloaded WAIO but I couldn't start a game, then I downloaded LoadMe from the frontpage. With LoadMe I can start games but Super Scribblenauts has intro looping

 

PLEASE STATE WHAT FLASHCARD YOU USE!
The loadme file is ment for Wood R4 for the R4 Original!
So it could mean that you dont have a clone. if so try downloading the Wood R4 for R4 Original.

 

I have a N5, it's a clone. Original Wood is not working.

 

WOOD1.14 for R4iDS Gold works perfectly. It's even in the official page www.r4ids.cn

Too bad that 1.14.2 is not compatible yet, so Lufia and Scribblenauts still won't work.

Ah no, I just copied the build folder to my SD card. But I can't find a file named "woodr4dldi.nds" which one should I choose?

 

1 sec, you MUST NOT download anything that had something to do wit Wood for R4 Original!
delete everything from your card releted to wood R4 and redownload WAIO (cant at the moment because the link is dead!)
then follow the instructions because the file has to be inside the folder!
but i'm not sure if it work on N5 Tho

EDIT: Sorry my bad the woodr4dldi is renamed to woodr4sdhc right now so use that instead



something els. for the onles that are interested i'm now trying to r4crypt -d he ds_menu.dat of wood R4 v1.14.2 to an .NDS so it has all the compact of the official version!

 

Ok now I can load games thanks a lot. Super Scribblebnauts is not working.

 

because you need v1.14.2 for that but WAIO doesnt have that yet!
just wait and it will work until a new update

Well, after some toying around I have to withdraw my opinion about WOOD working perfectly for R4ids Gold. While setting the firmware to my liking I noticed a bit of freezing up. Not sure if it's because of some kind of theme incompatibility or what may cause this, but the card freezes whenever I try to go to settings.

Nevertheless, roms continue to work perfectly.

 

Is this when you switch around themes? or just accessing the settings in general? I can switch around my settings freely without freezing, but when it comes to changing skins; there are some skins that instantly revert when I press A. But then there are a few skins that require me to reboot the card, for me to see the change.

 

Wood R4 v1.14.2.NDS

With the help of Xenon++ i was able to convert the '_ds_menu.dat' file from v1.14.2 to an '.NDS' file!
With this you'll also be able to play the latest games like Scribblenauts also with this!
