Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

    Don't post here, please post request in the main FLASHCART HELP section by creating your own independent topic. Your cart is not supported by this WOOD secondary firmware.

    No problem, try that secondary firmware. Read the compatibility list first, and do back up just in case.
    If you got problem ask there is ok, Since your cart is among the possible supported brand.

    I just realised I can't have tried the DSTT version because the link is broken. Wierd.

    A fresh link would be a good idea in general.

    EDIT: Ysmenu isn't compatible with Jam With The Band, so that's in the bin. I tried WAIO, it crashes before it starts. Tried it one last time in standard firmware with the newly generated 32mb save file for shits and giggles. I swear if I have to hear Aura Lee one more time I'm going to stab someone in the throat with a pen. Now, I'm gonna let you get back to your thread, cheers anyways. :D

    For that YSMENU/TTMENU topic's link, did you press MANUAL DOWNLOAD? Both links there are working just fine.
    Also if your cart is R4i SDHC, why did you try to add M3 or DSTT files? They are different cart from what you are using. Use files meant for your R4i SDHC, don't try to 'mix and match' any random files. You might ruin your cart.

    As I had told you, WOOD is not compatible with your cart, further more WAIO has been abandoned for years. So of cause it will not work on your cart. Your option is YSMENU/TTMENU, post your problem in that topic or create an independent topic in the FLASHCART HELP SECTION.

    By the way, that game Jam With The Band DS is supported by YSMENU/TTMENU for a long time already.

    I hope not still some games to come that will have AP, They still have not released Devil Survivor 2 Europe version yet, and will be released on 22nd of march .

    Yet they did not get around to fixing Pokemon Korean black 2 .

    Anyway, yeah....I hope it's not the end. Even if it be an update made sometime later in March or April, better late than never. Even if it's for the final time for the WOOD for NDS.

    Would this new firmware allow a normal r4 to work on a 3DS? For normal DS games, of course. I'd rather not have to buy a new flash cart if I didn't have to, poor as I am.

    Also, if I do have to buy a new cart, which would you recommend?

    No it wouldn't. Unfortunately the terminology has got rather confusing, there are in fact TWO firmwares on a flashcart, one that is kept on the microsd, this is what you update to fix rom compatibility problems, this can be first party or third party, and a second firmware internal to the flashcart, that can only be updated by running a first party updater rom. This is the firmware that bypasses console blocks.

    Am I to assume that, for the moment at least, the current 3DS firmware is 4.5.0-10, and that the latest R4i Gold firmware can bypass it?
