    Hi all

    I'm having trouble with the new Wood. I used v1.51 without experiencing any problems, but now I've updated to v.1.56, my games won't load. I have also tried v1.55 but that version doesn't "work" either. I got the Wood from r4ids.cn
    The issue is, when I want to start a game (it doesn't matter which one). The green loading bar appears and fully loads without any problems. But then the black loading screen appears and doesn't go away. I have waited for a couple of minutes but the screen doesn't change.
    I'm not a real technology wiz, so far I've always managed but now I have no idea what to do. Can someone help me please?

    I have a DSi with a R4i Gold card which I bought from r4ideals.nl (the site apparently doesn't exist anymore). I use a Micro SD card of 2GB but I don't know the brand. The only extra that's written on the SD card is "SD-c02G TAIWAN" of which I don't know if it's relevant..

    Hello,
    i'm having huge trouble trying to download Pokémon Black and White roms. They won't load on my R4, it freezes while loading the rom. I tried downloading multiple versions of wood but they all didn't work: when I opened my R4 the screen keeps 'loading'. I have no idea which version of wood I should install.

    This is my R4: R4i Gold (support SDHC).

    Could someone please say which version of wood I must download, I have no idea of technology. Thanks! :)

    @Banana_ ,
    If your R4i Gold isn't from R4ids.cn or R4idsn.com, then it's not supported by YWG's WOOD. If it's from either of those 2 sites, then use WOODR4iDSN. Look at the sticker or the package box that came with the cart to find out the official website for that cart.

    Same with you, if your R4i Gold isn't from R4ids.cn or R4idsn.com, then WOODR4iDSN won't work on your cart. Look at the sticker or the package box that came with the cart to find out the official website for that cart. If it's from either of those 2 websites, then maybe you should try back up your SD Micro content, re-format it, and re-insert the backed up files to the SD Micro.

    * There might be several carts going by the name of R4i Gold. Only those manufactured by R4ids.cn and R4idsn.com are supported by YWG's WOOD R4. All the rest are not supported.

    Thanks for the quick answer, I indeed have a R4 from r4ids.com. When I downloaded WOODR4iDSN, I still had the same problem. I removed everything from my R4 (except the folder with games) and placed the extracted (with WinRAR) file to the micro sd. Only my games folder, _rpg, _DSMENU.DAT, changelog and readme were on it. I tried again and still my ds lite froze on the loading screen :( Are there any folders or items that were on my R4 that shouldn't be deleted? These items were on it before I removed them:
    _SYSTEM_
    moonmemo
    moonshl2
    _DS_MENU.DAT
    _DS_MENU (configuration file)
    _DS_MSHL.NDS

    Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

    Wait, I just see I don't have it from the sites you named, but they look so similar :p I guess I can't update them...

    @Banana_,

    Like I said earlier, if your cart isn't from R4ids.cn or R4idsn.com, then it's not supported by YWG's WOODR4iDSN. Thus will not work. There are several cart's going by the name of 'R4i Gold', so be cautious.

    I checked my cart and apparently it was manufactured by r4ids.cn, but I bought it from a Dutch site. When I used previous versions of Wood (v1.51), everything worked perfectly. It's only now that I'm experiencing my problem of the freezing loading screen after I try loading a game.
    I tried WOODR4iDSN like you said, but that doesn't work either. Now my DS freezes when I load my cart in the main menu of the DS.
    I have also formatted my cart but there's no change.

    I've read somewhere that some problems can occur if your SD card is "outdated"? Can this have something to do with it?

    I think the most appropriate person to assist you should be abalondon.
    But anyway, the issue could be due to the new RTS introduced by YWG, it's in beta testing stage. He said it could cause issues.
    What I think you should try is, to back up the entire content of your SD Micro to your computer, and then format your SD Micro, re-insert all the backed up files, along with v.1.56 WOOD for your cart. If that still don't work, try PM this guy "abalondon' : http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?action=profile;u=2584278.

    By the way, don't do RTS saving method on DSi enhanced roms, it'll freeze. YWG said that himself.
