Its "maybe" safe to say that YWG likely will release an update in the near future (within a week) cause his last update was Feb 27th. Given the understanding that lately he has stop doing twice a month update to now become once a month. So...any of you hoping to get a update, keep your fingers crossed till Mar 27th. :p

    ..who are you talking to?

Anyway, does a new WAIO version get released anytime or something? You're like 32 versions behind with that.

    There will be.
My thought is that ywg made his own editor.

    Hi,

Its been a few years since I put the last firmware on my R4. Just wondering if someone could help me. I've downloaded 1.46, do I copy all the extracted files over to the R4 card?

Also, do I need the previous firmware updates first?

    Thanks.

That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Edit: I believe the issue is due to using an SDHC card. Is there anyway to get an SDHC working, or will I need to buy a none- HC card?

Will you sure your R4 is able to run the Wood firmware?

Incase I buy an SD memory card and the issue persists, how would I know if my R4 can run the Wood firmware?

It has to be the original R4 or the R4 that you can purchase now that will be listed as being able to run the Wood firmware, i think they are known as R4 1.1

Have you formatted your microSD using the Panasonic SDFormatter?

No, I hadn't done that. But it still wouldn't work anyway as the official R4 doesn't support SDHC, right?

Correct, you need to use a 2GB max microSD

EDIT: just noticed your edit, guess you have it sorted now.

Thanks for informing me of the max I can use. Was looking around for a larger than 2gb one. Luckily I hadn't found one to buy yet.
