Hi. My friend has a R4 for DS Lite and currently has Wood 1.41 installed on a2GB SD card

I have bought her a new 3DS but i will need to get a new card for it to work.

Is it possible to get a R4i-Gold and use the existing SD card which has the wood firmware already on or does it need fw for that model?

I am just looking for the easiest method since i am buying for her in another country and it needs to be as simple as possible to setup.

I dont think you should buy an r4i gold instead buy an acekard 2i its the best! http://www.acekard.com/
it will however need a different firmware so buy a 2gb sd card, its very quick and easy to install
and it can run wood and a special firmware called akaio

hey just because yur the owner doesnt mean you get to choose the best cart, super card ds two is expensive compared to other carts thats why i influenced him on buying a acekard 2i , its cheap and supports every nintendo ds systems

are u nuts? why the hell shouldhe use wood on it that doesnt make any sence. besides for a little more u can get supercard dsone, what allows running all games instandly 100% without update.
and it has lots of awesome futures.
