This card hasnt been tested on yet sorry about that, lots of new useless r4 cards claiming to work on the 3ds.
but you could help by testing it.

Oh ok... well I've tested the card with the wood firmware for the original R4 (the one I use with our other card) and it doesn't works. I've also tested the version for the R4 gold and doesn't works either. I don't know if there's anything else I can test??

BTW... we're not even using this card on a 3DS, it's for a normal DS Lite. I got it because it was the only one available at the store at that time, and it was my kid's birthday so I HAD to get it no matter what hehe. I was looking for an original R4 (the black one) which I knew worked perfectly with Wood Firmware, but they didn't have it at the time.

Yeah I know.. but it's not true. In fact with the 2.25 version of the software (from a couple of months ago) the Metal Masters game starts and plays for a bit, but eventually freezes up. But with the most recent version 2.29 the game won't even start (white screen and nothing more). The same game works perfectly on my other's kid original R4 with latest Wood Firmware. (Wood Firmware rulez)

Just tested it... it gives me the same folder-like icon with the word "MENU?" below and nothing else happens.

Ok good news.... I started testing other versions just for the sake of it and eventually the "Wood v1.25 for DSTT" booted with this card. My kiddo is currently testing the Beyblade Metal Masters game and so far it has not hanged (fingers crossed).

I've noticed that the menu of this DSTT firmware says "Acekard RPG", so I went ahead and tested the 1.42 version of the specific Wood Acekard RPG firmware download but it gave me the same "MENU?" error. Is there a way to have a more recent version of this DSTT (1.25 seems fairly old).

Whoever maintains the compatible cards list can go ahead and list that the "R4i-3DS" card from "r4i3d-multi.com" is compatible with "Wood v1.25 for DSTT"

then your card is a dstt clone, download rgf's multi cart update and unzip it and install the dstt firmware and try it

it would be cheaper getting an r4 original online, only costs 2$ itself *excluded sd and sending costs*

Thanks for your help guys... what I did was do a search and found out about the "TTMenu/YSMenu v6.72" topic. I downloaded the RetroGameFan multi cart and installed the "R4-SDHC_R4i-SDHC TTMenu" and voila!!... works like a charm. I would've hoped to use Wood Firmware but since this is a crappy clone it won't work, so TTMenu is and now I have a happy kid playing Metal Masters.

I meen nice one if they YWG could add a optional 4MB RAM dump on execute of a ROM, This some time's happens with YSMenu in TTMENU.DAT file also along with AP patched data written into it from the extinfo.dat <- thats true!.

If this happens all the time with a RAM dump inclueded written patch data in the RAM also, we can get a fix for a lot of games.
