Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

So could they by YSMenu... till everyone stole the firmware claiming it to be there owns makings.

 

YWG will eventually release his source code. After the DS scene has ended. Then everyone can enjoy really oudated games.

 

Or so u hope, next to the fact that most people wont care about that anymore then.

That is why he would release it. With no one caring about the DS scene anymore (some will) he would have no problem letting others use it. He would go to work on something else, like a 3DS dumper or something.

 

Most people releasing firmwares or anything i know is more likely to be, what i made i take it with me again at the end.

 

Does it work with the R4iTT?

 

As far as it seems it hasnt been tested on that card yet.
But you can help us by trying every one of em and tell us if it works or not.

 

i'm after some help getting wood running on 2 cards i have, they are:

1. white super r4i revolution (www .super4i. com) printed on the label
2. red ds happybox upgrade v1.4 revolution (www. r4isdhc. com printed on label)

I have tried ysmenu / ttmenu / wood all either give me a white or black screen when booting new games (old ones work fine)

I have tried decoding the rom too but still no luck

I am trying to play: 4765 Sonic Classic Collection.nds

you cant get wood to work on clones im sorry ...
but of them seems to be r4 clones and for ysmenu/ttmenu use the r4 sdhc version after the download: -RetroGameFan Multi Cart Update (Latest Version) - Filetrip

 

ok i tried this for the red happybox card

1. formatted card
2. copied over latest official firmware (R4iEnglishV1.17B)
3. copied over the r4sdhc folder from RetroGameFan Multi Cart Update v6.72 (not overwriting any files)
4. copied over the RetroGameFan DAT Update v6.72 to the TTMenu folder
5. Booted default.nds from the redbox firmware
6. Booted 4765 Sonic Classic Collection.nds from there but I get 'Unsupported DLDI Name'

any ideas?

wasnt classic collection not an dsi game?

 

do all your steps you stated over again except load a different game like mario kart if it still doesnt work cotact rgf

Hello all... does anybody knows which Wood Firmware version could I use for this specific R4 card??? (See picture)

I've been using the firmware provided on the card's manufacturer but it has problems with the game my kid wants to play (Beyblade Metal Masters). My older kid has an original R4 with Wood firmware and the game plays perfectly on that one.
