Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

Coincidently, the reason I kept posting it is because I noticed its been a while since your last update. I think its best to keep things as it is. It looks to me that the NDS/NDSL is getting less attention with the release of 3DS games, I think its closing to an end. Also I can't guarantee that I will always be around to maintain it, but of cause I will post the updates if I don't see them in page 1.

 

You must be referring to WOOD4TT or WAIO, am I right?
Unfortunately both secondary firmware development/updates had stop since v.1.25.
The source code had been locked by the original developer for WOOD R4 because the
people/person/group that forked it had infringe its term of use.

You could try/attempt to use YSMENU, but chances are slim because its not mentioned in the compatibility list.

 

Open up the _rpg folder on your laptop/PC, go to UI folder, locate the skin folder that has problem. For skins other than the 3 default provided by YWG. In each skin folder there's a file named as " uisettings.ini", open it with a text editor/notepad.

No. Sorry, as I said over 12 hours ago, WAIO is no longger getting any support. And R-III can only run WAIO not the other Wood (especially not the ones made by YWG and Avalondon). And since you had tried YSMENU and that too didn't work, really there is no other secondary firmware that I can think of. As for the new Wood files I posted in the above are for supported carts only. R-III and several other clones that used to run WAIO aren't among them.

But I did some searching for you, and found a file name MAIO, the guy who made it said it let people run roms via Moonshell 2.1. But he also said it only work on R4 clones that is 1 : 1 replica of the original. I've never tried it before, and I'm not even sure if R4-III fit that description of a 1 : 1 clone. Wood is not what will make your R4 work on 3DS. Its just a secondary firmware. You'll need to focus on the main firmware of your R4, you need to have an R4 that can work on/support the 3DS. It should say something like "R4 for NDS/NDSL/DSi/3DS" or one that clearly labelled as R4-3DS or R4i3DS. However its best that you buy the Acekard2i or R4i Gold 3DS for a budget cart, or if you want high end should get Supercard DStwo.
