So Ive got an R4 III Upgrade which I have learned is an R4 clone, so I downloaded WAIO v1.16 and in the .rar is just a .exe file, I am on a mac and am having problems loading up my windows partition so there is no way for me to run the .exe. Can anyone simply upload the files I need to copy to the root of my SD card to get this working? Appreciate it!

Okay, I am confused does this not replace the original R4 kernel?

I have gotten the impression that I need the original firmware to start up and then I load Waio through there and then I load YSmenu on top of that? I can get most games to work with just the original firmware and YSmenu but I thought this replaced all that...

So Ive gotten it working and it seems to run most games but a few still dont work, (golden sun dark dawn, cod black ops, professor layton and the unwound future) If I boot up YSmenu from the Wood menu all games, including the ones that dont work in wood now work. So I changed the YSmenu.nds to default.nds so it boots into that automatically after loading the original kernel but I really liked the crisp, clean Wood UI...is there anything else I can do to get these games working through Wood or just count it as a win that they work at all?

 

idk but it wokrs fine on my r4 III upgrade u can load most games
even pokemon black and white kigdom hearts recoded and dragon quest and lots

 

Uh, sorry if that's a bit retarded, but I seem to have a problem with a save file from one of my games after I updated to version 1.30.
The game's Style Boutique and I've been collecting a bunch of stuff in it, but after the update it seems like the save file was cleaned or something, because it offers me to start from scratch when I load the game. My chara and its collection gone.
There were two save files, one a usual gamename.sav, the other gamename.nds.sav. I tried removing one or the other, tried leaving them both, the result's still the same. It's like I never played the game. Can this be fixed? Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

 

Try going into the settings and change .sav to .nds.sav or backwards.

Hey guys. Just wanted a few opinions here.

I've been selling R4 originals and AK2is for a little while and just noticed that I can get the 3DSTT for REALLY cheap, Does anyone know how well it works? I found a youtube video of someone demonstrating it working on the 3DS:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3drVleniMEc

And the website says it works on DSi 1.4.2 (with the downloadable patch)

whats your opinion? think I should sell it at a price higher then R4 but lower than AK2i?

or do you think I shouldn't sell it at all?

Main points: works on DSi 1.4.2 and 3DS, only $4 so large profit margin, and runs (what appears to be) wood for R4iDSN.

I'm not in any way saying its better then the AK2i, but i'm thinking its about the same price as the R4 original and runs on all systems and can use SDHC, so why not sell it?

Whats your thoughts?

There arnt even games out for the 3DS last stand that it would work on the flashcard.
so its pretty much cheap for me or i dont buy it at all.

Thanks, but yeah I know there arent any flash carts that can play 3DS games, but as a DS mode flash Cart comparable to the AceKard 2i, should I sell it? its cheaper and looks like it works well. and with Wood R4 will run all DS roms.

So i'm thinking I should offer it. I don't think it will crap out on people which I think is the most important factor. Along with that fact that it will work.
