Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

Up to what micro sd size can this support? 2Gb? 4gb?...

 

im super lost and idk wtf im doin.

i have the R4-III Upgrade so the 1st page tells me to use WAIO for R4 clones so i downloaded WAIO v1.15 for R4 Clones (REPACKED 2.9 beta). im following the Wood R4 setup guide, also on 1st page, which says to extract it which i do. now it says theres a root_r4 folder which i do not see, but i do see the _rpg folder so im guessing im already inside the root_r4 folder but i dont see the _DS_MENU.DAT file.

basically i took everything in WAIO v1.15 for R4 Clones (REPACKED 2.9 beta) and threw it onto my empty card and i just get a Loading... screen forever. and i do realise i was following a Wood setup guide and not WAIO setup guide so theres prolly more to it with WAIO.

im really not good with this shit. someone plz explain to me what i have to do. i just wanna play Pokemon White/Black =(

 

WAIO works as a dual boot. You need your original R4III firmware from the website http://www.r4iii.com/, then you run WAIO as if it were a game. Should work from there. Also Root_R4 is your flashcart. It means dump it on the flashcart itself not a folder in the flashcart

theres WAIO, WOODEX4, WOODILS, WOODM3, WOODR4, WOODR4LS, woodr4sdhc, woodrpg_ak2i, and woodrpg_mod all .nds files and im not sure which one to use. i tried WAIO and it goes to a vertically striped rainbow-ish background with a pic of a sd card a gbs cartridge and a folder i go into the sd card and it has a bunch of folders with no names to the side, one of them has pics resembling the games i have and still no names next to them, when i press A on the pokemon one it does nothing, when i press start the pic goes away and it freezes.

idk what im doing wrong =/

I need help. I have a R4i Platinum card, i've installed the latest firmware and I could not play the latest games (not even Mario & Luigi Bowser's inside story or any game from late 2009 - 2010). I've also tried WAIO v1.15 for R4 Clones (REPACKED 2.9 beta) and YSmenu but none seem to work. As for WAIO i've tried all the .nds as the post above suggests but it does not work. Not for any game.
I have also tried different types of SD cards, I've formatted them using Sd Panasonic Formatter.
I'm desperate!

Any ideeas?

 

I dont think WAIO or any wood firmware would work.

 

Hey there! Glad to see you're doing well, Coolkill3r! A quick question though. I've got two R4rts carts for some siblings, and I was wondering if Wood for M3, the recommended firmware for that cart, could run natively? Besides having a fairly bad original firmware, I think them only having to deal with 1 firmware that runs about everything would be nice.

Wood for M3 should need to be working on it so yes, its recomended.
Altho i'm not sure if it does work 100%, if not then try YSMenu.

We are still unsure about that but you could help us by testing it.

 

Hi my friend has TTDS. Does DSTT wood work on it? He wants to play pokemon black/white.

 

Wood r4 can be used for R4 DS and R4i gold card (r4ids.cn). It can't be used in DSTT or DSTTi card. maybe, wood r4 will broke DSTT later! ;D

as I know, the DSTT can use another unofficial DSTT kernel called YSMemu. The latest version is V6.55.

 

CoolKill3r, in the first post, you said wich waio 3.0 repacked is comming, also, its come with more games and stuf.... but, you will be update frequently or.. just sometimes with this "repacked"?

 

First there was the latest WAIO pack from Xenon++ himself before he quited and deleted everything
Then i re-uploaded WAIO but had to deleted some files thats needed for updating it (still have them) so making it REPACKED v1.0
After that i re-uploaded it again but just with some modifications like credits and a little update, so making it REPACKED v2.0
Now i started updating many things for it as you can see and have released REPACKED v2.9beta, for letting people test some new things.
And after i'm done with everthing i'm going to upload REPACKED v3.0 that has alot of updates that are also same like Wood R4 v1.25

After v3.0 i dont think in would be updating it again as its uneeded and YWG closed the source since v1.26 so its almost unposible to get it.



BTW: I need someone testers who can run WAIO.
If he/she/it wants to help me out then it would be nice, its just a simple 1 minute thingy and you'll be added to the credits if you like.
