Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

    Oh. Well, for wood's loader its the decrypted version of the _DS_MENU.dat file. Shouldn't for YSMENU be made from it too?

    PS: In Japan its now in "Nuclear Crisis" situation. The radiation level is over 400 millisievent. And the radiation from the Northeast is heading south toward Tokyo. The entire 47 prefectures in Japan are in a state of panic.

    YSMenu.nds decrypted is the bootloader, and _DS_MENU.dat ysmenu is made with Ysmenu Generator simplyrevcfgng.exe <- both can be done with this

    But his YSMenu.nds loader has totally be rewritten

    PS: I can not download the R4 Super Pack, the page has no where to download it from and goes around in a circle, But i did download the YSmenu only version

    Hi guys, First off I want to acknowledge you for your great work.

    I'm using an N5 and I managed to load it (using the WAIO 1.15 and the Wood for Clones.NDS). THe Problem is, the game freezes just before A pop up appears to display Professor Juniper's Introduction (part after pressing the new game). I tried it on all game versions (U,E,J). I don't know how to solve this. Please give me a hand. Thanks. :D

    BTW: My N5 firmware is v1.32 :D

    @Odinz,

    N5 can only use YSMENU, not Wood. But if you want to give it one last try using Wood, try using the pre-patched pokemon rom.

    Otherwise download the YSMENU/TTMENU from here: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.0

    Use the file content inside the downloaded folder marked as 'R4 Clone'. You should be able to use it, as there has been many N5 users that were able to got it to work on their cart by simply drag and drop method. Use clean rom when playing on the R4, and replace the DAT files named as 'extinfo.dat, infolib.dat, and savlib.dat' each time a newer update is released so that you can play the latest game. Those 3 DAT files are necessary to be continuously updated as its what that allow you to play the latest games. If your DAT files is inferior then the newer games are not net registered inside it. And remember to load the bootloader marked as YSMENU.NDS or TTMENU.NDS. Remember that you can only have one of them in your cart. I suggest using the YSMENU.NDS.

    Okay ... I am extremely frustrated at this point and I hope that someone can help lol

    I have a flashcart here that says it is an R4 SDHC. Looks just like the one here:

    HOWEVER, the firmware in that link does not work for it. I just get a white screen after a Loading...

    The V 1.18 firmware for R4 DS, however, DOES work. The latest version from this site:

    All my older games work on this firmware. It's only newer games such as Pokemon Black/White and Okamiden that do not work. Which is fine except I want to play these new games!!

    Now, I'm very confused. Do I have a clone here or not? Why does the ... official firmware work, but the one that's supposedly for this card not work? I have formatted the card, backed it up, erased everything and re-loaded, etc etc about 50 times now.

    NEXT QUESTION. How do I get Wood or YSMenu/TSMenu, whatever I need to play newer games ... to work on this card?? The latest version of Wood works all by itself (without the V1.18 firmware) but all games crash to a white screen after loading.

    Any time I load any version of Wood or YSMenu or TSMenu with the V1.18 firmward, they don't work. They crash at some point and/or games will not load at all.

    Soooo yea. Help? Please?

    I have a question to wood r4 makers. Knowing that Wood r4 1.25 for DSTT works well on R4i SDHC 1.4.1 (http://r4i-sdhc.com/) but don't loads games completly, will anybody remake it so that it will load nds games on R4i SDHC 1.4.1? Or anybody is working on this?

    I was using Wood for my M3 Simply on my old DS, but I just bought a DSi XL and an R4i Gold and was hoping to use Wood on it too. I just saw when I went to download version 1.27 that it says it doesn't work on v2.0

    Do any of the older versions work?

    I'm playing Pokemon Black right now.. and I tried installing the "official" r4i gold software, and my older games worked, but not Pokemon Black. It was working fine on the m3 simply, I just have a cracked screen so I bought a newer DSi.

    What are my options for firmware for the R4i V2.0 (that will work with Pokemon Black and White)?
