    hello thanks i will try to fix it again i think i tried WAIO actually i tried everything that's in the link but it doesnt work too it's still stuck at loading i even open the cartridge to see the chip inside they said it support SDHC right? i have 4gb sdhc micro card but i havent tried using just a regular SD card they say wood doesnt work on SDHC and stuff i really are confuse >.< i'm quite excited when i got it from the mail yesterday but i cant make it to work lol >,>

    Help, please? I just updated my R4 v.1.18 to Wood R4 v.1.26. Now my saves won't work. Kindly help?

    Then your best option is to try YSM3 v.6.53 from Gaboros or TTMENU for R4i SDHC from Retrogamefan.

    Are you sure your R4 type can run that wood for R4 ? There are many types of R4 on the market, make sure your R4 type is the one listed in the Wood compatible list and use the correct version of it. To explain to you about Wood R4, it run 2 options of save file extensions, .sav and .nds.sav. In your case, maybe the wood r4's save file extension is in .nds.sav mode, while your exsisting save file is in .sav. What you need to do is go to the START menu inside WOOD R4 by tapping the START option that you see on your touch screen (bottom left or bottom right depending on the theme/skin you're using), then go to the SETTINGS and look for the save file extension option. Change it to .sav mode. And press OK and SAVE Changes to exit. Try again to load the file from your console.

    If that still don't solve it, then maybe the save file had been corrupted and you might have to delete it.

    @prectorian thanks for the help! i will try that >.< it's kinda annoying that they sell it and i contacted them and they cant help me they just say download it from r4ids.cn but it still not working, i will try that first thanks! ^^

    I put R4 WOOD into the micro SD, and i put pokemon white version (E) into the SD, and nothing happens. It says that R4 WOOD is now compatible with pokemon white (E), but it doesnt seem to work for me... any suggestions?

    LOL! i go to filetrip to see if there is a new version of wood R4 and it says "You may also want to check out the latest version of this file:
    R4 Kernel 1.26c" so i'm like "sweet! Must be a minor update to enable the US version of Pokémon black and white to work!" So I click it and download it, and it happens to be Pokémon white itself! LOL! I guess that isn't update to say the least :)

    Hello guys- sorry to ask but theres just SO much information splattered around the forums and not enough stickies (That I found anyway) to help out a complete noob.

    I've got the R4i v1.4.1 Revolution- (1.33b)

    I want to play Black on it so I'm assuming I need a new "operating system" for the flash drive correct? Now I see that the Woody is compatible with alot of things. What I'm unsure of is what the difference in SD cards is that allows it to run one program but not another. Like whats the difference between an R4Gold? Isn't is just a SD card?

    Am I able to install the woody on the R4i 1.33b? Thanks for any help. So I'm joining in SO late and probably in the wrong thread :(

    Try following the instruction on page 1, to go directly to page 1 click this : Shortcut to Page 1

    There you can see in the compatibility list and how to install it.

    If that don't work, try YSMENU/TTMENU for R4i SDHC (clone). Go here : YSMENU from RGF/Iluvfupaburgers

    Both are easy to add into your cart, simply copy the downloaded appropriate files as instructed in the readme.txt after extracting it.

    hi, sorry if this is out of place wasnt sure where to post, went to a mate house yesterday and he has an original DS (phat) and an R4ds card, not even a sdhc version just a proper old one. the firmware on it is 1.18 which seams to be the most up to date i can find (from like 2008) i have obviously suggested for him to get a new card, but was wondering is there any life left in this old one, can wood be used? it plays some games that are recent but obviously not alot of em

    Yes wood can be use on a R4 original, the one to use on the front page is Wood v1.26 for R4 Original/M3 Simply

    last thing and ill leave u alone, my son has a R4i-SDHC 1.4 for his ds lite im currently using the proper firmware from their website, but can i use wood with YSMenu and is it better? what are the advantages of using it over the official FW?
