Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

You're using what looks like an R4-III. What you need to do is install either YSMenu or your original R4-III firmware. Then, download WAIO v1.15 from the first post. Put WAIO.nds, Woodr4.nds and _rpg in the root directory of your SD card, and you should be good to go. From there, you can launch wood using the woodr4.nds file.

To confirm you have an R4-III, was there a file called _R4_III.dat in your original firmware?

 

Is this correct? I have the original firmware in the disc it had given me. I'll reply back as I have to go eat dinner. Is there a way we can repy faster to each other?

Hi team Wood r4.I have a r4i sdhc 1.4.1 card (http://r4i-sdhc.com/). I tried Wood R4 for DSTT and for M3 v 1.25 on it. I renamed file "ttmenu.dat" of dstt wodd r4 to "wood.nds" and here are results:
-works well, games starts but freezes after logo apers, and games with size more than 32 Mb freezs after load;
-Hombrews works perfectly but don't suport soft reset (maby becouse I renamed ttmenu.dat file.I don't know.Games too).

Also I tried Wood R4 for m3. When Rom runs it writes(fore xample) :
"
init fat succ
fat0:/games/n+.nds
load(fat0:/games/n+.nds)fail
"
and for any *.nds roms too.
That are the only pproblems I found.

Sorry if this is unrelated, but it seem this thread seems to get a lot of replies/help done quickly.

Will a regular Wi-fi adapter work for your NDS to connect to the Internet? Since my Internet security settings are not supported by the NDS.
If it does work, how do I set up my Wi-fi adapter for it to enable connection towards my NDS?

I've got an R4 III using woodr4.nds off of the original firmware, and the new Pokemon works perfectly up until I actually press "New Game" in the menu after the picture of the legendary. Then, it freezes a few frames later on the image of the professor.

Is there something I should do? And the same thing happens with the patched and unpatched versions.

 

I have the r4 sdhc clone. The link says its discontinued so where do I get the wood r4 download for it?

 

I believe there's a link under the link that has the "Discontinued" next to it.
Download that and find the corresponding woodr4___.nds (in your case, woodr4sdhc.nds) in the folder.
Drag that and the _rpg folder into your SD card.

 

I just got wood 1.25 for my DSTT clone (R4i Gold), and it freezes on Pokemon Black and white ((A black screen just after I put in all of my player data)). Is there a way to patch them or some other way to get them working?

 

I think one of the questions on the FAQ should be "Why do I need Wood Firmware?"

I want to play pokemon white (Europe) what do i have to download/do to play it?

I've been scowering the internet for few days and the only thing i can find information on is the Japanese translated/patched version?

Okay. I own an r4i SDHC card. it is updated with the r4i 1.33 kennel.
I did what the tutorial said. I have my normal set up that I had before installing wood r4, then I copied and pasted the __RPS folder, the WOOD.nds, and SYSTEM folder into the root of my flash card.
I access wood through my games folder and I try to play pokemon black or white and it keeps getting stuck on the loading screen and saying

"init fat succ
fat0:/games/pokemon black (u).nds
load (fat0:/games/pokemon black(u).neds) fail" and its stuck in that Load screen.

Is this because the wood firmware is the M3 Wood R4 1.25(the one that said was compatible with r4i SDHC) or for some other reason I'm missing?

Any help would be appeciated, thanks.
