Wood R4 - The New Firmware 99.8% Compatibility (CK3)

First of all, thank you for testing 'WAIO (REPACKED v2.9 beta)'.
I'm going to upload the finished version of 'WAIO (REPACKED v3.0)' soon.

And no, pokémon doesnt work on it, but you can play older games with it.
as for your card i think only WAIO would work and not any other Wood firmware.
So if you want to keep updated then use 'YSMenu v1.17a12' with latest updates it playes Pokémon also.

as for the Patch folder, no nothing has to be done with that, and the .nds file you can leave in the root if you like.

 

Ok, to help educate myself, if I'm using the WAIO v1.15, does it matter which of the .nds file I use to load into the wood firmware (m3loader.nds, r4loader.nds or r4loadersdhc.nds, etc?). I don't really see much of a difference once I get into the wood firmware screen.

Ok, I understand that Pokemon black or white won't play on WAIO v1.15, however I would've thought some of the older games like Mario Cart should be able to play once I got into the wood menu screens. Like I said, after I got into the wood menu screen and I selected Mario Cart, I got a black screen that said "LOADING" but nothing loads.

Like i said, to play Pokémon use 'YSMenu v1.17a12' with latest updates.
As for the .nds files, i dont really know, just mess around a little and see what works.

 

Is there any way to get 1.26 for clones?
I think that is my problem.

Wood for DSTT cards

 

Hello.

I've got a NDS Fat and a R4i Gold flashcard.
I'm trying to update the flashcard with the files from http://www.r4igold.cn/indexe.asp .. This was the website that came in the flashcard box.
I've got this card from some time and I never updated it .. And now I can't run new games.
I tried all that I've read, all that I've seen in Youtube, but so far, nothing.

It's almost the same thing, the monitors turn white and doesn't go any further.

Can please, someone help me ?
Mine NDS has the v5 firmware, it turns the 2 screens with mangenta.

I was expecting to play Sonic Collection, Pokémon White and some RPG that are new.
I don't know anything .. Like install YSMenu, WAIO, WOOD or Kernel. All that stuff
Help me to update this, please.

R4-III Upgrade Revolution - which wood do I use? WAIO?

I got a R4i Gold Revolution from r4i-gold.com. Im trying to get Wood for DSTT to work. I can launch it just fine but after loading a game it give me two white or black screen. Can anyone figure out why? Inaddition, I can use Retrogamefan DSTT fine.

 

Stay with the DSTT dats!, best advice

WoodTT was only for the DSTT cards only

I have the R4i SDHC one

It is real.

The version I have is V1.09d last time I updated it was in August.
Last time the site updated it was in July.

I was interested the Wood software but not sure what version to get.

 

I myself don't have it but the AceKard 2i will probably be your best bet.
usually its like $20 or more but from Lighttake.com its only $12.99, plus they are listed as an authorized retailer on Acekard.com
Thats the one i plan on eventually getting, but the R4 original is working fine for me currently.

EMERGENCY HELP:

I have tried everything to get this to work. I load the .nds file up and it goes into an interface that has sd card followed by slot 2 followed by a folder and I don't have option to load any file. I have no idea what im doing wrong but here is a picture of my sd card folder and my r4 card.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but will there be a 1.26 that works with M3 DS Real?

 

do you get something like this (in the backgroud) if so then choose the microsd card and navigate to the folder with your game roms.

 

I tried/downloaded all the versions that you have none of them are working. Is there something I am doing wrong?

 

Mine does not look like that which is the problem. Their is no wood background/layout or menu popup. Ther background is a grey/blue with the icons microsd, then slot 2, then a folder and if you click any icon it will either be empty or it will freeze.

 

Big thanks for adding R4-III support! It's hard to find anything for my old little card. So is installing WAIO the same as installing Wood r4, but I use my original _DS_Menu.dat? I'm not quite sure how to install WAIO and what my primary firmware should be, since it uses an .nds file instead.

Edit2: I got it to work by using my YSMenu 6.53 files and launching the woodr4 NDS file from there. Black & White don't quite work yet but I'll try the Desume fix to see fi that works. I haven't yet tested to see if it will fix other Anti-piracy (Chrono Trigger, Radiant Historia). Now, is there any way for me to auto-boot to wood from YSmenu?

Edit3: Radiant Historia save file AP is fixed and Chrono Trigger works perfectly. Still have to try B/W, but kudos!

Edit4: Need to use patched pokemon roms, looks like...

 

I'm all new to this flash cards modding piracy thing.

I have a DS lite and loading the Wood R4 Firmware seems to be a problem??
Is this the correct set up? Cause this is what I get on my DS lite. A loading screen that never stops.....
