If i'm correct you must change the '?!?.cc' files name to the same name as your rom:

I understand the utility of the velocity in the formato conversion
but...
the only thing that the file converter do
is change the name of the file?
so...
rename it is the same thing, right?

Ummm... well, it includes a file of less then 1 KB, it extracts it to the temp, runs it and gives it instructions.
The file will be deleted after use.

Ok thanks for all the info on cheats but I think I may have solved this problem myself, and I have also noticed others who seem to be having the same problem as I was.
When pressing (Y) button on the game I wanted to apply a cheat too, there was no (Press (X) to cheat option) only (Y) settings and (A) ok. Here's how I solved this problem. Rename your USRCHEAT.DAT using lowercase letters only! as in usrcheat.dat

I know I've probably said this like five or six times, but you should add that the "Adventure Tour" in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games does not work on neither 1.05 nor 1.06. Only on 1.04. I'd be happy if anyone else could test this so I can make sure it isn't just me.
