I am using an r4sdhc upgrade and I am using the folder that came with my firmware.

uh... upgrade?? i dont think that will work. the firmware is only designed for the r4 III upgrade and just the r4 sdhc. ill get some more info on ur card.

I Hope It works i dont want wood only to work on r4 III and r4 sdhc if it can work on r4 III it should work on r4 upgrade and r4 ultra which are 1.1 clones

maybe he didnt install it properly?

INSTALLATION

1. First Extract the rar file(you must have winrar or 7zip to do this.)

2. Open th file Woodr4 for R4 clones (it has an sd card icon)

3. Then Just copy all these files u see (_rpg, _system_, _DS_MENU, CP3_Homebrew.nds, Woodr4.nds, r4dldi.dat)
to the root meaning just drag them into your r4(romovable disk e/g/f)

4. Then remove ur micro sd card and put it into your r4 and load woodr4.nds

Heey I have a big problem
I think I have a R4 clone: R4i Revolution for DS (NDSI/NDSL/NDS) ww.r4ultra.com stands on my R4 card.
I downloaded the latest version of Wood 1.38. (here on your page) And I have put it on my Sd-card with the existing firmware to start the card.
And when I choose the Wood r4 nds file and want to start a game I got sort of an error, this is what comes up: init fat succ fat0:/5215 - pokémon white (USA).nds
load (fat0:/5215 - pokémon white (USA).nds)fail
I realy don't know what to do. Do I have a wrong clone or something or do I choose the wrong wood for my card? I don't know.
Could you please help me? Thanks

no since u got woodr4 to boot up perfectly means u got the right clone its just the game? i m working on another repack so ill tell u after it has been released try the patched version? Here format your sd card, put ur original fw back on then use this new version 1.38(A) V

also Wood 1.39 is out as soon as my mate Calo3Productions releases it ill be happy to repack it to make it work on r4 III upgrade users!(sadly thats the only 2 carts it works on r4 sdhc and r4 III)

and n5. still buggy testing but does work. and 1.39 is a long way off im afraid. the new core is advanced, and much different to one before. and i really don't want to just update from 1.38 and add new compatibility. takes to much time.

Soon i make a repacked version of my v1.16 unofficial of waio with the latest 1.39/1.40 files. when i do i send you this pack adn you can update it with the extra files you want.

the changes i make is mostly for clean compressed text documents and more detailed installation.

dunno if you wish to use it.
