    some great news maio 2.4 (also as pectorian mentioned) works on r4 1.1 clones and r4 i gold special thanks to Mantis 41.
    With this u can run commerical roms from moonshell also includes wood 1.36

    Mantis 41's words:

    The following package will boot to and enable you to run commercial ROMs from moonshell on your R4.

    UPDATE (27 August 2011)

    This package has now been tested and working on:
    original R4 and 1:1 clones
    R4iGold (& 3ds) (versions from www.r4ids.cn)
    R4iGold (versions from www.r4idsn.com)

    versions:
    Moonshell (ver 2.1)
    Wood (ver 1.36)
    nesDS (ver 0.55a)

    General Instructions.

    Original R4 and 1:1 Clones

    * Copy all files in the package to the root of a freshly formatted card.
    * You can delete the two (gold) files if you want.

    R4i Gold (+ 3ds) (versions from www.r4ids.cn) & (www.r4idsn.com)

    * Copy all files in the package to the root of a freshly formatted card.
    * Delete the _DS_MENU.DAT and WoodR4.nds from the card
    * Rename _DS_MENU.DAT(gold) to _DS_MENU.DAT
    * Rename WoodR4.nds(gold) to WoodR4.nds

    Accessing firmware for cheats or ROM settings

    * Press START > exit to firmware //or
    * Run R4_Wood (root of card) //or

    * Running moonshl2.nds will take you back to MAIO.

    * Added pokemon skin to wood (my boy asked for it)

    Missing Icons.

    If icons are missing for your games you can open them up in RomeR and apply changes. A link to RomeR has been placed in the downloads section.

    *NOTE* you will need to change the cheats database to reflect the change in gameid or the cheats will not work after the RomeR changes to the header.

    Cheats.

    The cheat database included in this MAIO package were downloaded from the official database (see downloads section). Place the file usrcheat.dat in _rpg/cheats.

    *Note* There are too many cheats in the official download for the original R4 to display so you will need to edit them using R4cce. You can use this program to delete the cheats you do not need making the database smaller. You can also use R4cce to change the gameid if changes have been made using RomeR.

    Encoding Movies.

    There has been some troubles with encoding DPG movies for use with Moonshell. There are many versions of DPGenc around. For best results use the copy of DPGenc included in the downloads section.

    I have recently tried dpg4x (v2.0) and have had very good results. link in the downloads section.

    Have you tested that MAIO on your R4 Upgrade/R4-III ?
    Well, you should if you haven't. Maybe you can learn something from it to incorporate into your own updates.
    If you have and proven it work on your cart, then I think you should continue updating information for it each time a new version is out. Good luck.

    yes i have tried it everything boots perfectly except u cannot load games . gets stuck on loading and yes thanks for your support ill work on it maybe this will update waio ?

    Thank Mantis41 for that, I didn't do anything. Maybe his source code is open, so yes, try looking into it, maybe you can do something with it.

    will this firmware work on my r4i sdhc upgrade revolution clone? And do thjis firmware has an upgrade? for me to play it on Dsi version 1.4.3U? thanks in advance for tha answers!

    no it doesnt have a upgrade but it works on r4 sdhc idont kno about the i y dont u try it out?

    Akaio 1.86a for r4 ultra (sdhc) might work on r4 clones i dont have my ms adaptor with me so why dont u test it out and tell me how it works thanks if it contains dsmnenu.dat files (DELETE IT IF U ARE NOT USING R4 ULTRA) (DONOT DELETE IT IF U ARE USING R4 ULTRA)

    Maio [J16] 1.0 will be a better fw than waio i promise, espicially thanks to my friend Jhon 591 for giving me permission to use his Modified DAT files of the ttmenu/ysmenu created by rgf. It will have almost all game compatibility thanks to his modified DATs files. And also guess what! he updates daily. So this is moonshell being able to load commericial roms on r4 clones. With the look of moonshell 2 and the updates of nds roms daily Maio can be the best fw an r4 clone will ever have.

    4º extracted the firmware and waio in the root of card.. then i load the 'WAIOv1.15[J16]v6.NDS'.. then i change the settings of "Show hidden files", "Trim rom when copy", "Cheat in Game(AR)" and "Reset in Game" to off.... save, and then load the "woodr4dldi.nds" and then i load Pokemon White..

    Whats wrong??

    OOH! Finally its working!!.. Actually, i tried with the YSMenu and its working now.. thanks very much!!

    your welcome? u really shouldnt thank me for ysmenu i didnt make it rgf did i just included it (from the r4 clone folder) for some people who just cant get it to work

    and also why load waio 1.15v6? when there is waio 1.29.nds use this< its better and kinda updated

    Load roms I've used for moonshell on r4 III some time ago ...=)..
