    exactly i havent had any problems with any roms that were fixed with wood 1.39

    There is a little something called WoodYS

    Gabros created it stating that wood can load roms using ysmenu, this is something pretty cool actually.
    I was looking into it and maybe ill add R4 clone Compatibility since its for M3 and update it with latest cheats and the dats(game compatibility)

    The thing about this is for people who loves wood, and since wood for r4sdhc unofficial version by C3P stopped at 1.39 and couldnt get to 1.40 due to Formatting of the Hard disk With his build on wood 1.40. But with this you can load Wood But Game compatibility and game loading is done by ysmenu, so maybe we can achieve something here* stay Updated on this topic WoodYS For R4 clones *maybe* released

    Hello there! ;D I've searched high and low but I can't find an answer to my problem.
    I don't know if my cart may be real or a clone. :( I found it on a used DS lite with a broken screen & hinge that I'm planning to fix in a few days. Otherwise, the DS lite looks like it's working perfectly fine.

    It's an R4 SDHC Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) with a 2 GB SD card. There is no URL on the cart.

    BUT here's the problem.

    The R4 USED to work with the original files it had. Edit: It still does work if I use these original files, so it's not broken.
    _DS_MENU.DAT
    _DS_MENU.INI
    _DS_MENU.SYS
    _DS_MSHL.NDS
    _system_
    moonshl
    Games

    I think this is the original R4 1.18 version, not Wood, but I'm a noob so I'm not sure.
    (Thankfully, I backed them up before trying to update.)

    I tried to upgrade it to wood firmware 1.41 and then 1.39 using these files:
    _rpg
    _DS_Menu.Dat
    Games

    It didn't work. Nothing happens after the white DS screen.

    and then I tried the clone version of 1.39 with all the loaders. Took out all loaders except the r4sdhc one. And when that didn't work, I just put all the loaders back in. Still didn't work!


    Problem: The R4 always stays stuck on the loading screen after the "touch to continue" pic (I assume, because the upper lcd doesn't work yet. All I see is a black lower screen.)




    Is it because the card is too old for these upgrades? Am I doing something wrong?

    ok first of all you need to identify your card, im gonna help you with the two possible solutions.

    1. Is your card An R4 Orginal [​IMG]R4 Original says nothing on the cart except Revolution for (ndsl/nds)

    It this is how your card looks like then its an r4 original and as you sated wood , well it only works on this cart not it wont work R4 SDHC unless you use the r4sdhc version developed by C3P

    But

    If this is you card download r4 official firmware(1.18): latest 1.18 from the official site : http://www.r4ds.me/

    Then install wood donot delete any of your files to install wood just replace them if it asks you to(it will ask you to replace your dsmenu.dat : Lates wood 1.42: http://filetrip.net/f26878-Wood-R4-1-42.html

    Use these steps above^ only if your cart is an R4 Original

    Now on the other hand if your cart is an r4sdhc, well there is tons of r4sdhc out there you gotta give us more info as in is it red?

    It should look like this (official r4sdhc) : [​IMG] if it an r4sdhc it should say Revolution for nds/ndsl SDHC

    Now download the official firmware (1.34) which is the latest : http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=20357 and install it

    now if you got an r4sdhc you can use wood but its not that updated as Official wood so download this http://www.mediafire.com/?p539in3yf6edhqm and install it, it shouldnt ask you to replace any files since it is a secondary firmware but remember before installing donot delete your official 1.34 firmware files or you will be stuck on loading..

    IT WORKS!!! Thanks soo much for your help! My card is the 2nd one you listed, with the SDHC on the logo. Though my micro SD card has no logo. The flash cart looks exactly like it and its the same color black, too. ;D 8)

    My win zip crashes when it tries to unzip WAIO, though, so I'll try that later, maybe with another program. I'll report on that when I get to it!

    glad to help :D , its weird im getting these messages about extraction error since i ve been compressing with 7zip . download and install 7zip and extract waio, hope that helps
