Exactly. If you like a certain system, then enjoy it. All are great in their own respect, and all are different for a reason. After all, if all three were the same, then what would be the point of having three different systems?
Re-read my post, seriously... and re-read my post before it, properly... You seem to have misread them both...
I read both of your posts correctly the firs time cj, and I agree with you that it is going to take someone crazy brilliant and who isn't afraid to take risksto make a really innovative game. All I was saying is that in my opinion Sonic isn't that great.
I agree with you yet again. 2D Sonic games were awesome. I used to have them when I had my Genesis. And then Sonic and Knuckles came out......I thought I was going to die because that game was sooooooo great. And on top of that, you could put Sonic 2 & 3 in the top of the game cartridge and play as Knuckles in those games as well. Brilliant!
Yeah because knuckles can climb up rock walls and the ones with tails that can fly... I wish Sonic was made earlier as he's my favourite character... Well back on topic for me: The PS3 needs to be cheaper and regain it's backwards compatability and perhaps a better online play... The 360 might need free or cheaper live and backwards compatability The Wii needs better controls as they are quite hard to use and it needs more adult games, although Smash Bros Brawl was good...
I hate to put this in the argument, but PC trumps console games. PSN and Xbox live (or, ofcourse, Wii's terrible Internet support) can't compare to actual internet. PC is fully customizable, and I don't need a mod chip to hack my favorite games
it does, non of the third party developers put more dedication other then the 360/ps3 consoles. rock band 2 will be released next week december 22 2008 for wii, that is 3 months after the 360 [sept. 14] release and 2 months after the ps3 [oct. 19] release. doesn't that tell you something. however, how does a game like guitar hero world tour get's simultaneous release. i don't understand why they would release rock band 2 in such a late holiday season. shopping season will slow down during the week of the christmas season. guitar hero world tour was released on oct. 26, so that means a 2 month shopping spree for people to buy the game. with rock band 2 it will only be a 2 day shopping day. remember how many wii's were sold for november and remember what i said about potential customers third party developers could have had. here is a prime example. that is 2 million potential buyers for rock band and 2 million buyers straight out the window. now the company will say that it doesn't sell well on wii, could you not figure out why. this one should be amusing for loony, http://kotaku.com/5112022/ea-wii-graphics-not-of-broadcast-quality
Yes but to get a PC to the standards gaming consoles are at for gaming it costs a lot and it would be harder and irritating to get games to that spec.
360/ps3 owners are paying for them just as how the pc gamers are. the only difference is that the pc you have companies that don't take a heavy cut as compared to the consoles. with the consoles, you have two very big corporations where both can take a heavy hit and still manage to live. micorsoft takes a lot of heavy losses due to their product failure and taking a price hit to make an offer that is to attract their demographic gamers. it's the same idea with sony but i believe [you can probably tell] that they are having a hard time because they haven't made any price reduction, which would mean that their cost is much too great and they don't want to take a heavy loss. with pc hardware, it would be a bad idea for nvidia or ati to make graphic chips and sell them at a loss just to make sales. they aren't gaining anything because they're not making software but only the hardware. that also includes licensing their hardware for other companies to produce.
i really dislike it when people compare sales of console A to console B. there are many reasons and one is quality control. during the ps1 days, the console often broke because sony used cheap parts [constant disc read errors or broken power parts or etc...]. so your choice for a new ps1 would either go for a repair or buy a new console. the problem with repairs is that the service man would rip you off because he or she knows the high value of the system. i remember my friend telling me he got it estimated and told him that it would cost him $200 for the repair. with that price you'll might as well buy a new one. it also goes with the very popular xbox 360. if 360A broke frequently or often have problems and later 360B is released and had less of those problems, most people would get rid off 360A and get 360B to avoid those constant problems that 360A had. this of course would skew the sales charts as they're not new customers buying the consoles but existing customers who are making replacements. this is just one discrepency, there are many others so use your imagination. ps3/wii, i don't often hear the constant complaints as those who own a 360, maybe they do exists but aren't as bad as the 360. ps1, ps2 had the same problem, disc read errors or blown fuses, etc.... gamecube also had disc read errors, but i assume that it wasn't as bad as ps1,ps2. dreamcast had the same thing, disc read errors.
@ utra your right, the problems with the wii are subtle but it still has its issues. for some odd reason my wii wont play a number of games no matter how many copies of the game i try. i went through 7 copies of super smash brothers figuring this out. since the wii was supposed to be such a reliable product i didnt buy the warranty at best buy and they wont even touch the thing. now to get it fixed i have to send it back to the nintendo and wait two months for them to fix it, which my girlfriend wont let me do because the damn thing will still play her animal crossing game, and at this point yes i would rather look at a red ring than anymore freaking animal crossing.
If one console had mudkipz on then it would instantly become Win, and no not Super Smash Bros or Pokemon on the wii...
is your wii hacked or modded? my wii isn't hacked or modded and i have smash brothers and it plays fine. i even updated the firmware two weeks ago. ps3/wii may have issues from time to time, but they are not as severe as like the 360.
Well....its so complicated to have the "no problem and always work"nextgen console then... i too....has already tired of its problem... for the short life of its components...or the lifespan of its optic....cant read the media...memory card unformated.....sigh.. in the old days...having ps2 is like every kids dream.... but then...my ps2 is so damn annoying...with all that problem... same case with my friend who buy xbox....his game disc dont have any good lifespan... ahh whatever...im done with them... game is suppose to make us happy....fun....entertain us... not make me crying for all of its s##t! all i can say now...so long console....im tired of you.....
no mods or hacks sadly all fw is up to date and the guy at nintendo seemed to know what the hell was wrong but didnt tell me. my point is that most stores offer better warranties for the products you buy there but if you are buying something that is known to be reliable you arent inclined to buy the better warranty. well if something goes out on your wii that you only have a factory warranty on your S.O.L either buyin a new one or waiting for the slacks at nintendo to fix it for ages. my final point is that every person i have met that owns a 360 has bought the extended warranty on it, shit mine was only 40 bucks. so if my 360 effs up i am ok because all its gunna take to get a working one would be drivin the three blocks to best buy and makin them figure it out.
