Whichever you like.

Girlfriend has a Wii and loves playing Mario Kart and other games of that sort.
I have a 360 because I like the game selection and online capabilities.

not everyone can become an NBA player or an EPL Player too you know so your logic's pretty much flawed about the NASCAR thing

I recently purchased an Xbox 360 Elite. To go along with it I purchased a wireless adapter. Of all three next-gen consoles, and yes, I've had all three, I prefer the 360 overall. I like to play games, not interact with them like on the Wii. I love the PS3's Blu-ray player, but to me it's games are lacking, and Playstation Network is under-supported. I hate having to pay to play online on Xbox Live, but I think it's worth it. There is always something new on Xbox Live.

The Xbox 360 is a pure gaming machine.

The PS3 is the ultimate media hub, and the first true next-gen console.

The Wii is a fun, interactive family get together.

All three have their good points and bad points. It all really boils down to a matter of taste. Whichever console you prefer, happy gaming. ;D

but wanting to simulate the professional feel is something else, its a different aspect people are looking for in those types of games. Yes you can play those sports as normal people but the simulation of being one of the players/mangers of the team has a different thrill to it. Those games are probably not catered to you guys anyway

i'll just add nobody actually plays those games as a subtitute for the real thing. (thats just silly)

if you read around the net, there are people who say that the wii is somewhat in the direction of arcades. how is that possible? because arcades are simple and are easy to get into, which is what the wii was intended for, to attract exgamers, new gamers and whatever goes in between gamers. so basically it's going back to the basics.

    yeah, stupid bashers say that.

there really is nothing arcade like about the wii, some people just view the controls and come to dumb conclusions.

wait a minute though, if you think about it, pong was an arcade game and was very popular with people. those people were your casual dumb gamers. they never played video games and then they tried pong and became addicted to it. pong is simple, fun and challenging. it's not only pong, you can also refer to pac man, which is the same as pong [simple, fun and challenging] while also short. pac man would probably be classified as a mini game in todays standard. then there is this need for short burst gaming on the wii, which is typical for arcades. you spend a few bucks for a game and move on to another game.

what nintendo can also do is once these casual gamers become accustomed, they can then increase the difficulty of the games as the gamers will want more challenge. so in some way, the causal gamers are gaining experience points for playing the wii which would eventually lead to a higher class level which would require they beat tougher monsters to gain more level experiences. nintendo is a fucking genius [at the moment] because this can go a long way as the emphasis is not on graphics but gameplay. tetris!

Well, I've been doing lots of stuff, so I haven't been active for a bit. I've read all the new comments, and I have to say that the Wii is a move forward in technology, but I also believe that six-axis is superior to the Wii. it's not supported enough in games yet, but once developers really start to take hold of it, the Wii may find itself a smaller customer base. I'd have to say that the 360 has overall been a pretty solid contender. They have a much more vast library of games, but, at the same time, they have a system that still has an overly high failure rate. The PS3 has a failure rate, as do all electronics, but it's not all that high or noticeable. I've not had this memory corruption problem, and I have been in that exact same situation. I don't like the Wii, because it feels like a step backwards, much the same as the DS. Every time I'm playing a DS game, I always feel like I'm being cheated out of my money, because it could have been developed on the Super Nintendo or even RPGMaker. Sometimes it looks like a VERY low end PSX game. I also feel that the game lacked substance. This is the same exact feeling I get with Wii games. I had a 360, but it was about to red ring, and I had no warranty or service contract or anything, so I sold it. I may get one in the future, but unless I get some money out of nowhere, then I'll be waiting for at least two or three months.

six axis? dual shock 3 controllers don't have that so i'm guessing they stopped with that nonsense?

DS games that could've been made for the SNES or with RPG Maker then to low end psx game? pretty big jump there. DS is still a pretty convenient handheld device, yes the psp can kick its ass with graphics but gameplay wise they're pretty much at par depending on what games you want to play

Dual Shock 3 controllers are just six axis controllers with added vibration feature. So no they haven't stopped it, no sense in stopping a good thing.

Anyway the sixaxis just plain annoys me, as sony stated:
It has an entire 9 degrees of freedom to it
WOW!!! 9 degrees!!! I am SHOCKED!, the Wii's 360 degrees looks miniscule compared to that -.-

Oh and old vid, don't take this seriously I just think its rather funny
