So because he has killed people we should respect him? First of all, he has done nothing for my Country, he helped in the Vietnam war yes, but there are various opinions as to whether or not that war was even justified. Still, that's aside the point. This is a thread about politics, and when it comes to politics, having been a prisoner of war and having been tortured sure isn't a positive, it fucks you up and it's in no way a positive trait for a leader of a country. So when he tries to make it a positive we'll call it as we see it, sorry if that makes your hair go fuzzy, but there's nothing we can do about that, you army/navy/air force people stick together and back each other, and while that's noble it doesn't mean we have to. Ergo, I'll just say that I think McCain is a god damn maniac and he would rather keep the attitude of peace through war than actually work for peace, that makes him a dangerous leader.
I was in the military myself thank you very much. I was stationed in Fort Jackson SC. I know first hand how military life can mess up a someones personality. When I came home it took some time to readjust to civilian life again. Still to this day it's sometimes hard. So don't preach to me about how fortunate I am to be able to sit here on my ass. I served my country.
Then you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you don't agree then that's your prerogative but I don't think I have said any lies on my previous posts.
I never accused you of being a liar, but I do know what you're talking about. That's one good about the country we live in, we are allowed to have our own opinion. I have never experienced brotherhood like I did when I was in the army. You really find out what the word brother means when you are relying on someone to save your ass, while they are relying on you to save theirs.
Capitalists are anti-cool according to communists. Same shit, different ideology. Well, it's over anyways. Obama won. Live with it.
Well Communism can never work because people wouldn't try and they would just get easy jobs because everybody would get paid the same and many industries would also shut down, there would be economic crisis and people would end up dying, moving or rechanging the political system
the fundamental flaw with communism is that there will always be people who want more than everyone else. To quote George Orwell: 'All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." His book, 'Animal Farm' is a perfect example of why Communism is great in theory, but does not work in practice.
