Doesn't seem too subtle and intelligent to me :)

I'm not saying I don't laugh at some of this stuff, but it's definitely not that subtle or intelligent.

Without running the risk of getting another warning or getting banned,I think Bernard Manning and Chubby Brown were great comedians. One was racist and the other sexist.....

Seems about as subtle as the Three Stooges :)

Nah. Not classic. It was stupid, fun humour. I still enjoyed it, nonetheless :3 Some of their sketches were very clever, though.

If you broadly look at it, indeed. Though the build up to the silliness at the end, it was subtle.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i remember you listing Fawlty Towers (spelling?) as a classic, and that is about as subtle as a train crash...

it is a classic, even if its not subtle.

What about the Carry On films, they are a good example of British Humour.

Try any series of Blackadder except the very first one and Alan Partridge. Also; Peep Show.
That clip of Fry and Laurie was rubbish; hardly an example of British humour...
I did smile when Fry punched Laurie in the face though. Things like that were probably more funny back in their day, they're hardly timless classics though (unlike Blackadder, Porridge and Alan Partridge).

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was awesome. Go Herr Lipp!

I'm not too fond of the Catherine Tate Show, but whenever she made those skits about gingers being subhumans, I always cracked up.

That's a movie. I'm sure you mean, League of Gentlemen.

Dark Place was AMAZING. I've got the DvD's. Freakin' awesome show.

I got the dvd too. It's a massive pity it only lasted 6 episodes, they were hilarious and original.

That show is awesome :D It's sad they canceled it. There's apparently 2 new shows that have actors from Corner Gas though now; they debuted today actually.
For humour, I tend to laugh at something that is sarcastic and/or contains a pun.
    Here's a pun I made up:
A Olive Farmer goes to a farmers market. How many olives did he bring with him?
    All of them.
    Then another one:
You know, at the Olympics, some of the winners are lugers. :p

Also English that has been purposely made to sound improper sounds funny too. Some other forms of humour I like, but I can't really describe it.

Real English humor is monty python. This is classic. If you know 'not the nine a clock news' that is great british humor too.

    All Irish humour is exported because RTE is too #%$*& cheap to make the shows;
    examples:
    Father Ted, Black Books
