Why did the r4 get so cheap?

    Does that mean everyone who has a R4 will have to get another flash cart?

    No problems with the R4 for me...got the latest update which is 1.19 and its playing all the latest games at the moment...so no complaints from me.

    Costs about £20-£25 here in the uk for the R4 cart with a 2gb micro-sdcard

    Erm... 1.19? It's still at 1.18 if I'm right...

    1.19 is unofficial. 1.18 is the latest official firmware version. 1.19 is pretty much the edited version of YSMenu.

    It may be unofficial, but certainly no problems with any games when using v1.19...and in actual fact, im able to play some games that i couldnt previously get to load using v1.18.

    Maybe i just got lucky coz most of the time i have no idea what im doing haha

    i got an original two months ago and it is real got it from some weird website i just stumbled upon it was 9 bucks so it really isnt that hard if you really want a real r4 for some reason but compatibility is severly suffering
