Why can't people accept defeat?

Half Right.

It's more of a "Get mad at the person exploiting certain techniques and therefore start doing the same thing to stand up to the person". Then it starts snowballing.

 

Apparently snaking is intended by the game makers.

However, snaking is a hard skill to master, I'm only above average, some people I seen unless hit with an item at the right time will snake perfectly...as if playing an 8-bit game which they perfected.

Imagine my surprise when I was in a wifi match vs'ing my clan leaders...and they said "no items this race".

...I nearly broke down...being above 5th place was hard enough...

 

i dont really think its intended by the makers, in mario kart wii, you cant do snaking anymore

 

You could also say it was due to all the complaints. There are thousands of people bitching about snakers online.

If it spoils the game then fair enough but its a racing game and all players can do it.
I suck at burnout but I dont start whining because I get beat all the time. People use their skill to drive on the opposite side of the road and build up the boost to beat me, so fair one. Its just the way it is, I dont start saying boost shouldn't be allowed.

 

I still don't really get why people think they should quit even if no one is snaking.

I even got a copy of an email from when one of them answered a forum goer's question, sadly I think i lost it...and the exact contents.
Not sure if credible, but the term snaking comes from f-zero gx (same thing), and snaking can be done in all mario kart games except the first.
It's just easier in the ds one.

The way I see it, unless it's something REALLY hard to do then it should be cut out (like walking in the air...damn lost planet 2 glitchers!)
Heck again I point to lost planet 2...the energy gun tracks, bowls people over and forces them out of their vs, and it's fast, BUT it can be dodged, ethier by moving well or using the little known "invincibility" moments.
Anyone can do these, it's practice to perfect, I was even teaching people how to snake at one point.

Cowards, they don't want the loss or they all thought there was some cheating going on.


Used to happen at school, I won at every game we played (we could bring a n64 to school-long story) and they claimed I used cheats to win when infact it was just my skill.

Only time they owned me was in mario party, 3 on one tug of war, I held them off for 30 mins...to loose.

Quite possible. But it happens on the third lap right before someone wins all the time.

No it is almost impossible that both lose connection at the last point.

True. If everyone has access to it then its prefectly fine.
