You mean The Dark Eternal Night (N.A.D.S)? If so, that's not actually the music video, its what they have playing behind them on stage,

Old skool rap, like N.W.A., Easy E, Tu Pac, Dr. Dre, Ice T, Ice Cube, and early Snoop Dogg, was in my honest opinion, was rap at it's finest. Back when it meant something. Not this new shit. I lost interest in rap right about the time Puff Daddy came on the scene. Him and the Notorious P.I.G. (misspelling is intentional) and that awful NAS. I mean WTF? It's like they all just sampled a lot of older more popular songs, that were hits in their day, and then all they did was talk over it. I'm sad to say that long gone are the decent days of rap music, because back then, it was music. It had a purpose, a meaning, and a message. A message about the daily struggles of just staying alive to see another day. Telling about how the world oppresses those that are not as privileged as the chosen few, and how drug use and drug dealers were rampant and destroying the youth. I want to know where the hell they all lost their way. Oh wait, I forgot that money can make you forget where you came from. There's no meaning anymore. Aside from flagrantly showing off their excess, cars, money, and what the hell ever else they can find to brag about. The only message that rap noise has now, is that the more things that you have, or the more money you have makes you a better person, or means that you're finally somebody. Bullshit.

I remember when it used to be a lifestyle, not just an image. Now it's all garbage. Dominated by a bunch of fake-ass wannabes. But I guess it's hard to rap about how bad your life is after you get out of the hood and move into that nice 45 million dollar mansion and get to drive a different new car everyday of the week. Take all that shit away from them, and let them deal with life like the rest of the people in the hood deal with everyday, then rap just might become music once again, and not just a noisy image. Then, and only then, will it ever mean anything again.

What about De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, and The Roots. Those were some pretty nice groups, who didn't always rap about drugs, money, and violence.

I was talking about Eminem with the song about shaking ass or something weird like that.
    But yeah; good point

Agreed 100 percent. I can't help but think that whenever an art goes mainstream it almost always turns to shit. You can't blame the rappers, the masses have voted for the "bling" and the "industry" answered it. Rap is ALMOST dead now.

Most new rappers generally have one good track...

Ace Hood has "Get em Up"
Kardinal Offishall has "Dangerous" (If that counts...)

Other than that...it's just old rappers with weak albums...

Short answer, all of them. Long answer it went downhill since the 80's or so and is now only associated with gangsters who go around stabbing people and raping children. It may have also spawned "braps" and "chavs". I'm not biased to a specific genre but I find it very hard to listen to with the same repetitive lyrics and beats across the board.

Chav music sounds way repetitive and is usually based on remixes of good songs but they rape them :-\

Sad world we live in where artists can't make their own music anymore. Then you have all that mainstream pop music which is a load of shit as well. X-factor and all these other "talent" shows are there just to churn out another crappy [insert type of person here] that we don't need. In response to this people might say "Well you don't have to listen to it why are you complaining."

Well the fact is I'm forced to listen to it on the coach going into college, on the college radio that's broadcast round the college, on the television commercials, TV shows etc. Rap is just the same except it gets churned out at an even faster rate. You see some metal bands or punk bands, whatever that will put out a decent album every 2-3 years while rap artists put out sometimes two a year that contains the same shit as the last one.

actually i would beg to differ....most rappers try to change their sound every album like every other "artist" although i would have to say the quality goes down greatly with every new cd. i really used to like ludacris his first few cd's were awsome in my opinion and they all sound different but his music has gone downhill like every other "musical artist" now

Who is the worst rapper ever? That's easy. All of them. How can rap even be classified as music is beyond me. Every song sounds exactly the same or similar. I mean does a person really think he is that awesome to call himself something like Ice-T or Redman or whatever. If I hear another meaningless rap song about some pimp who is beat on his bitch, I will shoot myself. Not only do rappers have nothing important to say (most of the time, I'm sure there is a meaningful rap somewhere), but they actually have this arrogance about them, thinking that they are the dogs' bollocks. No offence to anyone that actually likes rap, but come on....rap is not music. It's a retard talking fast to a beat.

Only decent rap song out there is Cypress Hill's Rock Superstar.

Before you say "rap sucks" it'd be nice to draw your line to where hip-hop ends and rap starts....

Lil wayne recycles his lines and lyrics in other songs and doesn't say much about anything. He's high when he raps so not much is being said.

I think he's up for the worst.
