Which Megaman Series/Franchise do you like Best?

I guess the X series were okay, except they were a bit easy. I guess thats why they made like 7. I don't like any of the new Megaman Games at all. They don't seem Megaman-ish.

 

I liked Battle Network and ZX Advent.

 

Yeah, because they don't have the same "megamans".

 

Gameplay wise, my favorite is the battle network series, but not so much the Star Force series. But I do like the continuity that can be found in the other series if you look hard enough. Megaman Orginal => Megaman X => Megaman Zero => Megaman ZX => ???? => Megaman Legends

 

Legends is a totally different franchise than the Original, X, Z & ZX Sagas

 

Hey accordingly Legends was supposed to be in this timeline:

X - Zero - ZX - Legends

Well that's what I'm told.

 

Could be, as refractor cores could be something from the X, Z &/or ZX era.

But isn't the events of Legends set on another planet, with the "Megamen" (mothers, purifiers, & the creator)

from another planet?

The others are all from earth.

 

Actually it's a "resetted" earth, not another planet. And the space colony Elysium is actually mentioned by X in X5.

 

I know that in X5, the space colony was named Eurasia right? Is it another name for it in the Zero Series?

And in X5 also Eurasia was sent to Crash on Earth, then in X6 it devastated the land when it fell

 

I would've voted for the X series just for the fact that X1-3 are the best megaman games. As a whole though, X4-8 was just pure garbage. MegaMan 1-6 those are awesome, 7-8 however are not, but better then some of the later X games. So i voted Original.

 

dunno what the title of the game is but the best for me is where theres a playable black armor dude(not black armor zero)
who looks like an evil zero. the guy who can direct his cannon hand up and down.

 

That's Megaman & Bass or my preferred title "Rockman & Forte" for the Japanese it was released for the SNES, then re-released on the GBA.

Most of the people who even heard about it, heard about it on ROM translation/hacking sites. I don't know here on RomUlation though, maybe the admins/moderators have heard or played it even before they got here.

 

I remember I only got to play Megaman and Bass once when I was like 9 or 10 and ever since then I have wanted to play it again, but I could never find it.

You know, funny thing actually. Apparently, the Ruby-Spears cartoon was animated in Japan. I would've never guessed it, judging by the look of the characters (it does look like it was drawn soley for the american audience) but apparently that's what happened. I could be wrong though, as my source on this issue is wikipedia, but I personally find wikipedia more trustworthy than many people give it credit for, with a lot of false information being removed fairly regularly.

Anyways, my favorite series? Hm...I never played the sequel, but my favorite game is Mega Man Legends. So I guess you could say that's my favorite series. The original is a close second. I don't like the X series that much starting with 4, which is ironic considering X4 is when you could start playing with Zero, who happens to be one of my favorite characters. (X3 doesn't count, because he couldn't go through checkpoints or boss doors, could only be called once per level, and was lost forever if he died once. He was more of a bonus than a full-time playable character.)

 

I like megaman zero the best actually gotta love Zero's Z Sabre.

 

Notes: Apparently it looks like Zero was using Colonel's Sabre in X6 and X return Zero's original Z-Sabre in Zero 1, meaning Zero let X keep his old Sabre, preferring too use one of both a friend and foe.
