Which game has the best storyline? (Any game genre and console)

Wow, Just finished Kingdom Hearts DS. So emotional. The story doesn't really begin to get into it until about day 200 or something but then...WOW! The whole Kingdom Hearts franchise probably has the best storyline EVER.

 

I think they should've gone more indepth with the characters, and left out the disney element. Don't get me wrong, I love the series, but the disney characters change the mood and epicness of the game. Disney should just make movies, and squeenix should keep to making deep games with original characters.

 

Anyone say metal gear solid?

I agree. I really liked Fatal Frame, too.


But I think the Valkyrie Profile games have the best story lines. I remember playing Star Ocean, Lunar, Threads of Fate and other RPGs years and years ago but it was VP that got me hooked to the genre. I love how each einherjar has a story (that may or may not be related to the game's plot) and I love how they used Norse mythology but also added their own twists (like Odin being a power hungry and manipulative rather than a benevolent god and valkyries living mortal lives when they're not on duty). Plus, multiple endings!

The other two VP games (Silmeria & Covenant of the Plume) have amazing plots as well.

 

I agree with MGS, cool storyline.
I especially like the 3rd one.

Every MGS's story is always good, but the 2nd is confusing.

 

From what I played it wasn;t confusing.

Can't wait for that new one on psp..but raiden will be in the next ps3/360 game coming out.

Snake can be played in 2...but you need the special "substance' version.

There is 2 versions of substance-a 2 disc with a playable extra content disc.

That one is like the original 2's special disc-but it has parts where to can play or scroll character models...

No more heros was also good story wise-the guy reminds me of myself at times XD

 

Zone Of The Enders : The Fist Of Mars, well, it's kinda simple but meh, good storyline for me.
Edit : BTW, where's the nemesis guy? Lol'd at him. Dude, different people different taste.
