ipads are tablet computers, consoles are gaming devices. They are completely different and trying to compare between the two is an invalid comparison.
the PS3 is superior in terms of technology, but the debates mostly got derailed by people that thought halo was a valid justification for saying the xbox 360 is the superior console, when by proper debate standards it is not a valid justification.
The good thing about game media is that you get some kind of money back if you trade it in or sell it to someone. I hate DLC. It has no resale value.
A better comparison would be something like a mobile phone versus the iPad, since it makes more sense to compare the two.
actually not really, comparing a mobile phone to a tablet... It's like comparing a DS to an apple. @ace1o1: you can indeed get resale money from DLC and apps.
It could be argued that it has no value in the first place because it is simply data with no physical media attached to it, therefore you are essentially paying for something that in a sense, does not exist.
I would definitely prefer consoles , if your going to play the games in a home environment. But I would prefer an iPad , if I was going to play the games outside of home.
^Ipad is just another money - making crappy product.. its actually no match for for consoles. Well, it would be different if you don't have any desktop.!
iPad. Although I wouldn't use it much, it would be nice for the bathroom because I currently mess around on my phone. Pretty much all videogames these days are really shitty and challenge your patience more than coordination and intellect. LOL FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENED, VIDYA SOLD OUT JUST LIKE MOVIES AND MUSIC. So I don't care about games anymore. edit: removed a bunch of totally unnecessary curse words.
I'm still looking forward to the new Deus Ex, loads of indie\small games devs are coming out with good stuff and there's a lot to be said for some classic gaming.
