I currently have adobe photoshop elements 6.0 and Corel Painter essentials 4. Only because they came with my Wacom tablet. If the other programs you guys are using are MUCH better than these can you send me some links to download?

CS5 have smoother default brushes, I think. I use CS5 myself, and it does FEEL a lot smoother than CS4. They've also added a few more brushes in the hopes that it'll come up to corel painter with it's 'realism'.

I like Corel Painter too, but meh. Still haven't learned to use it well. @_@

I dunno if it's worth it. the only notable difference is the object awareness thing.

Laughingstock stock even photoshop 7 would be worth getting for you... since u use paint!
there are alot of other things in CS5 other then the object awareness, alot more userfriendly there is also 3d effect you can now use in it, and alot more tools i cant remember right now

Lol. I DO have photoshop 7.

Photoshop doesn't automatically make you better.

it does make your work look better, anyone can see at 1st glance that its ms paint, with photoshop you are making your linework ALOT more crisp, unlike the shitty pixely lines of ms paint

I don't think you know much about digital art.

Photoshop isn't for "crispiness", Adobe Illustrator or Flash would be your best choices for "crispiness".

    Photoshop is for image manipulation.
Just because it's a bit pixelly doesn't automatically make it crap.
