The only anime like games i can think of are on the ps1 or ps2 but the GBA does have two YuuYuu Hakusho games you might be interested in.
YuuYuu Hakusho Spirit Detective and YuuYuu Hakusho Tactics Tournament or something like that

As in games based on anime series or games that use the anime style for character design and stuff? I recommend Phantasy Star Collection for the GBA; it includes PS 1, 2 and 3, some of the best RPGs of their respective times. As for Boktai, there are hacked roms for the series that allow you to manipulate the sunlight bar through a button combination.

Try Treasure Hunter G on the SNES (There's a translation patch)
And The 7th Saga (Its really unbalanced cause of crappy stats gain programming but I heard there's a patch that fixes it)

For GBA go for Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 and 2 (Both English thanks to Atlus)
    I prefer 2 more then 1 though.

Golden Sun 1 and 2 are some good turn-based RPGs and there is Mario and Luigi's superstar saga, Riviera is another good one, RPG Tsukuru Advance is a GBA RPG maker it's only in Japanese though, I still haven't found an English patch for it.

On top of that, any Final Fantasy, 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are all on the GBA, 3 is on the NES.

    Hope it helps :)

Whoops! Sorry, I did read the first post, must have read it to fast

Also, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past is a really good one (I put around 15 hours into it and never beat it, it's a lot harder then any other LoZ game...)
