I hated it when the game boys were with batteries, they ran out so fast, it sucked, and your parents not wanting to buy batteries for you, it sucked, good thing the GBA SP came with charger :)

I played a good 6 months of it before the charger got messed up by my brother, beat Pokemon Gold like a million times (actually, it as like 15 times on 6 months) and I used to charge Alkalines (which is really bad but I charged them a thousand times, no explosion or leak...

Anyways, they only bought me batteries a few times. Most of which were from No Frills... EXPENSIVE AS HELL!!!
After my dad took it away, I resorted to TV, playing with anyones GameBoy or whatever they have, playing on the cell phone, watching more TV and playing on the computer. I went on nick.com, cartoonnetwork.com, ytv.com and several cartoon/kids TV Channels. My dad still has the same old PC since I was like 8. It was crappy but it IS BETTER THAN THE PC I HAVE NOW!

(Sorry if I am going off topic...)
MY PC: 256MB RAM, AMD Athlon 1800+ @ 1.53 GHz, 40 GB HHD
DADs PC: 1 GB RAM, AMD Athlon 1700+ @ 1.43GHZ, 60 GB HHD

And his PC is the only PC in the house that is connected to the Internet...

Dad didn't bother setting up a router (non-wi-fi) so I can get Internet on my PC, I've been asking for Internet on my PC since like, two years ago and I keep on bugging him now!) so I can socialize and play games (and MULTIPLAYER! Nuke people from around the world in StarCraft) I still don't have Internet and people still "make fun of me for not having Internet" They don't know is that I don't have Internet on my PC, not in the whole frigging house! And they also make fun of me because of my SHITTY PC!

I predict that I will get a new PC with Internet by the beggining of the school year (September 2010) HOPEFULLY.

I plan on doing something special to my crappy PC... ;)

    ^^^^^Damn, this was a long ass post^^^^^

I started on the SNES with Sunset Riders when I was 8. I remember I usually end up replaying level 2 over and over because I could never avoid all those bullets.

    So far in life?

    Jeeze...
    I started playing my dad's NES when I was 2 1/2. I still remember it too. :)
I would play Kung Fu. I still love that game.

So, video games have been part of my entire life basically.

I think the first for me is when I was around 4 to 5.
I played Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 on Sega Genesis at my cousin's house.

After that, I begged my parents to buy me a Sega Genesis for myself I think. :p

My first taste of video games was with an Atari 2600 my parents bought me one Christmas or it might have been a birthday gift...anyway my true "addiction" started when the NES had released and had been out for a few month and I got to play it at one of my dads friends house whose kids just got one with Kid Icarus,Metroid, and Super Mario Bros I guess my dad seen I was having a blast with it and up a bought me one later that week and not to much later after that I found my first love with Legend of Zelda and i've been hell on wheels with games and consoles since. I do recall later that my parents sort of regretted buying that NES for me as thats all I would do is play games and nothing else would get done. LOL but it was also said I was pretty easy to keep up with all they had to do was find the TV where the console was hooked to and follow the cords and I would be at the end of it.

My Mom was going through meniere's disease when I was 6, and it was pretty scary. Mom would feel everything spinning around her and most of the time she would pass out. Mom and pop thought that I needed a distraction from that, so they got me a SNES. God I loved my SNES. At about 9 I got a gamecube, with some pretty good titles. By then mom and pop noticed I played a little too much, so pop decided that the best way to end it was to sell every single game I owned to someone for really cheap.

I had gathered a lotta rare shit for the SNES. An analog jostick liscensed by nintendo, Kirby's dream land 3, Mario RPG, Earthbound...along with about 40 other good games. Dad sold that console for 30 bucks w/ 2 contollers, my rare analog, and all the games.

Then he sold my GC with 2 controllers and 12 1st party games for $10.

That pretty much made me more addicted to any game I could find, no matter how crappy. I got a bunch of freakin LCD games from cereal boxes and everything.

Eventually I bought a PS2 and a $400 32" Digital TV so I could dictate what I would do with them and actually own them myself.

Now here I sit, filling my 102-cd wallet with all types of PS2 games and setting out for the other half of the market (as well as SNES games on SNES-STATION) that I missed as a kid.

    Thanks, dad. You're really smart.
