I love the 'tea and crumpets' stereptype. I do love tea and I recently re-discovered the joys of toasted buttered crumpets...It does seem to be true though >.>

I'm English, I don't really like tea all that much. I drink it a lot but mehh.

I recommend trying jam and crumpets. And even Golden syrup and crumpets. Pretty tasty for a snack. ;]

One British Stereotype I absolutely love is the "Highly dignified" one, you know the prim & proper one :)

    1. "We" are supposed to be quite sophisticated
    2. "We" always carry a baguette under our arm
    3. "We" spend our entire life going to cafes and smoking cigarettes
    4. "We" wear berets
    5. "We" are not nice or friendly

    Yes, I'm French ^^

And number 3 and 5 are right enough to be honest. About number 1, I'm guessing whoever started that rumor has only seen France through the glossy papers of some tourist magazine ...

I agree, i've been to England. It's mostly drunk football fans or chavs. We have chavs in Ireland, but we call 'em nackers.
I shouldn't really talk about them, since i live near rough places...
    Gotta watch my back o_O

Oh yes sir. Honey or syrup on a freshly browned crumpet is marvellous.

I enjoy the English stereotype, of England = Britain, but Scotland = Scotland. As in, we have a British accent.
I also enjoy the bad teeth stereotype (I have never even had a filling).
Everyone here being posh, when, it is far from.

The whole tea thing is basically true, to be honest. There isn't one person I know or have met, that didn't drink tea.
