    I prefer Kaspersky.
I do not know mucha bout antivirus programs but it's good for a newbie. Just click buttons. No extra work.

yup, the req. of avg is 256mb of ram... my laptop's module kinda been corrupted, maybe a burned chip..., and its built-in ram is only 128mb, and 8mb reserved for video ram...

yeah, i know its crazy low, but its a crazy old laptop.

i tried installing the avg and it said failed to install

I personally reckon Trend Micro to be the best, never had any more problems once I installed it.

    I've been restoring a '98 PC, what's a good AV for it?

I'm using AVG 7.5 at the moment, but since it cannot be updated past 7.5 on 98, I need something that can.

They're not free, but it doesn't mean we paid for them...

a friend of mine gave me an activation code, I think he actually paid for it

I actually like Windows One Care... I paired it with my AVG the other day, and now my PC has never run better... except for when it was new

there is an avg free. but there is also a trial for 30-days of avg internet security, i tried it and well, its good in detecting all my adwares and programs that stick to you while browsing.

Bitdefender '09 with crack till 2040 something. When my brother plays FPS while AVG is scanning, it lags like ****, and I heard good things about Avira.
