What's the best action anime you ever seen??

Inu Yasha is nice.

 

Gantz, Akira, and Blame!

Specially Akira, the animation is sooooooooo smoooooootthhh waaay ahead of its time.

 

Gurren Lagann is synonymous to EPIC

 

I liked Code Geass and Full Metal panic

 

Naruto, although there is usually more talking than action : Blue Dragon is pretty good too

 

big robot fighting with a decent story ark EUREKA SEVEN is not bad, and also try skipping the first 160 or so episodes of naruto and get into shippuden where the action starts to ramp up a bit, don't know what else, evangelion has some really great set pieces but the story can be rather convoluted for a new comer multiple viewings are a must.

 

The shippuden characters look weird though... I've watched a couple of episodes of Neo Genesis Evangelion, it's a bit gruesome... :-\

 

Gundam Wing and/or G Gundam are the best two for me.

 

Animes i like most

[GTO] Great Teacher Onizuka - Ex-bikerider, violent, martial arts expert, perverted teacher goes to teach equals fun and mayhem.

Inukami! - The elephants are a refreshing sight compared to mosaics.

One Piece - never get tired of the GOMA GOMA..hehe

I don't watch too much action anime, so mine may not be the most action oriented (fair warning)
I loved the Read Or Die miniseries, and as someone said earlier in the thread, Fate/Stay Night's really good, interesting choices for the weapons in Read or Die. =) To those claiming one anime or another's the best, shush yourself. >.>

I like- This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. It had action and a nice storyline, though it was cheesy and had quite a bit of sexual references

 

code geass (both seasons)
higurashi no naku koro ni (so much blood)

 

I like all of Akira Toriyamas stuff

Dragonball - average
Dragonball Z - the best for me
Dragonball GT - not so much for me

I miss those shows...

I also would like to watch the old digimon series all over again Cool battles
