The weirdest thing about this generation is the movesets. Sometimes they simply..don't make sense. The Electric Zebra thing just got a Fire move, and the the water starter got a bug move for some reason. At least in Gen 4 when Empoleon got a steel move, it was because it grew steel talons.

they put more thought and work on the new region than pokemon, thats the only thing interesting in this game and the new team and last but not least N. ps...that electric gym leader cheats!!!!

I don't hate it. I think it's still a marketable franchise they just need to keep it interesting. I loved the the first Pokemon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon because they were a fresh, original concept.

Adding those gorgeous 3D effects and more Pokemon, and the closest thing you'll get to a story is good enough for me.

I started disliking their designs when Ruby and Sapphire came out... Some of the D/P/PL designs weren't too bad, but still... you can't compete with gens 1&2

They should seriously make Pokemon real-time. I'm sick of like 10 years of turn based.

You're sick of the turn based combat that made Pokemon so damn fun?

It gets repetitive. Wish they would make it more like the anime.

    Hey man, SHUT UP.

You can't expect us not to talk about pokemon when the new game came out, can you? Just ignore them if you're tired of them,it's not that hard.

The thing is, people can complain that the first/second gen were the best, but Nintendo arnt going to see that and go "Ohhhhh snap, we better change".
There branching out, they cant stick with older designs that we, well most of us, grew up with, because times have changed. There appealing to other younger audiences, who like the new designs, not us any more.
Ive been playing Pokemon since Blue, and Ive played all the games up to B/W. It will never die for me. But lol, maybe Im just weird

actually, they did just that and re-released pokemon gold/silver much to the delight of fans everywhere...but they obviously can't just keep re-releasing games so they have to move forward. no matter that though, people will always hate.

if they change too little it might as well be shovelware, if they change too much it's not like pokemon anymore, yadda yadda. ultimately it's the numbers that count and sales in the franchise are solid so they muct be doing something right. such as slapping the name "POKEMON" on their packaging for example.
