That is true, but looking good makes you feel good. Spending money on an electronic product that can fail for no reason *cough* xbox360 *cough* does not make you feel good. The games might though :)
As for clothes, you can buy some knock offs, the market is usually full of them

yes, but buy a knock-off game, and you end up with something like this...

Looks like a gameboy game but even with Fear Factory playing on my pc too, that soundtrack pissed me off something rotten!

The only reason it's considered "pirating" is because the Nintendo DS hasn't hit it's "retro" status yet.
Like most of the PSX, snes, and other consoles have. Besides the companies don't lose much money really.
I laugh when I see people shopping for games at the stores lol. They pick one they like, and I write down on paper about 4-5 that I'm going to go home and download...

I can afford a game or two, but not everything I pirated. I want to have fun with the games without losing all that valuable money.

I found it annoying that if I wanted to do multi-player for some of the games with my kids then we needed more than one version of the game for some of them. Too expensive to buy more than one copy in Australia where a new game can cost $50-$70 dollars, even older or second hand ones are still too pricey to double up on for the family.

We do own about 15 games, of the most popular and I am grateful to Romulation for giving us the chance to try them, because we probably would own less if I had to buy then try and find out we did not like the game, which is what happened before.

I pirate because I'm underage, I don't have a source of money, and my parents refuse to buy me games. I will buy games when I'm older.

    My reason~?

Well, It allows me to play Japanese games I've played before (but they don't work anymore, like Fire Emblem)
And, to test out some games before I go buy the hard copy.

So, if I don't like the rom version, I won't buy it. XD
    So yeah~ That's my only reasons~
