To test a game out whether it's crap or not. My uncle got a lot of crap games and stuff and then he started to pirate. Realistically, I have no money, can't go any games :(

To expensive and a lot of "lower class people" pirate a lot (I guess)

That and it is really easy to get.

because in the philippines, gov officials are corrupt, then the workers become poor, and do not want to pay for video games, software etc

I never did that. o_O In fact when a new game would come out, I would try it out then, if I liked it I would go buy it. If I didn't like the game I deleted it from my computer. I'm not a pie-rate-er. :3 Sorry I know that wasn't funny. -sweat drop-

I pirate because there's no official distributor of games in our country. All console and game sales go through the gray market here so prices are skyhigh.

I stole from the hard working game designers...because well, they wouldn't get any money from a long dead console purchase anyway. I only really download games for systems older than the PS1. Plus I wanted to play some old favourites again-I never did beat Fantastic Dizzy.

:p I have a 7yr girl who is easily suduced by all the media hype and wants whatev er game is currently being advertised or is the IN game at school. I can not afford to keep up. Plus when she goes on a sleepover she can take the R4 card with 20ish games and there is nothing to lose.
    Hope this answers your question.

Prices it's like roughly 30 pounds for a rubbish game and for a decent game is 35 to 40 pounds.
Partly because of the resession in england where i live.
The nearest game store is miles away.
Don't want like 100 games packed into a shelf and spend ages looking for the one you want to play.
It's not like your going to carry 20 game cartridges with you when your in the car.
Most games i want thats out is sold out or they don't plan stocking it like japan exclusives or no one sells them anymore.

I mostly pirate older games that I either can't buy any more or that I already own. I've pirated a few newer games, mostly to try them out and have been desperately searching for games that I enjoy enough to make it worth buying a DS.

In my country games are really expensive, comparing them to salarys and stuff lika this. I'm a teen, I'm too young to work and from my parents I gain 30zł month. A game costs around 150-180 zł (I mean good games, not some crappy stuff like "Check if youre eyes and brain and everything work good") and because of it NDS is rare console here, so in shops you can see only a few games. That makes it hard - not to pirate... I've bought only Assassin's Creed for my ds.

mainly because im to cheep to buy all the games that i think sounds good with the majority of them turning out bad so instead of buying every game i just buy the few that i really like and pay for my own food.

    - I want to play games for free. Entertainment must be free forever.
    - I hate paying for games that are stupid.
    - I want to get some ideas for making games (not copying games, of course ;D)
    - I want to run games on my EDGE/R4 SDHC cards, I don't want to have tons of cardridges with me, they get lost all time.
    - Game publishers must learn that money isn't everything in the world.

This is my opinion. You may disagree with some points but that's your problem.
