One other thing I thought of, It's much easier putting an english patch on a downloaded game than on an original cartridge.

Because in the Netherlands or we have to wait 4 or 5 months extra before a game comes out here while its already in america and because many of the games don't appear in shops or are very hard to find

BECAUSE I AM POOR T_______T hehe

well, I only play otome games(Japanese games), so that means, They are not available here( Canada) and I have to order the games throught those X-asia sites, and they charge way TOO MUCH for handling and shipping, let's say, a game that actually cost 75 dollars, they charge 120 dollars, I feel like they are ripping people off (just me though) well, but I do buy games that I like a lot....anyway, I totally don't mind buying the games if they are available here, and if I don't have to pay so much for the handling and shipping....

Also, sometime, I just want to test out the games before buying it.... :)

Since it's firstly, it's WAY EXPENSIVE, and it saves me money! Easier to just download it in 10 min, then to drive to a EB Games store 30 min from now. More access to games. No F**cked up children can beat me to the game. I can download games the minute they're released. I can watch movies on my ds rather than buying it from Blockbusters, or Best Buy. I can call people from my ds. Finally, I can download Japanese games like the Doki Majo series (AKA: Witch checking game).

    reason.

    1. pay $50 for a game, play it 3 hours, waste.
    2. pirate a $600 program, don't like it?don't care. :)
pretty much, if you buy things, there no guarantee it gonna be good, or you'll like it...so if you pirate, you can't lose!

There are animation programs that can cost more than $1,000. Or in this case, more than $3,000 http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=13578025 I'd opt for piracy any day.

    3 main reasons...........
I really wanted to try before I buy
I like having all my games on 1 card
It allows our family to play each other without paying 4 times for the same game.

    I'm a cheapskate
    I'm poor as fuck
    I save money
I can play games that never gets released outside Japan
I have all of my games in one place or two instead of having them scattered all over the place

That should pretty much sum it all up......

I got my DS Lite for free.

Going to the local game store I find the games cost only 10-20 bucks less than 360 games (which are expensive in New Zealand anyway).

At $80-90 a pop ( about 40-50USD) for a DS game, on something I wasnt sold on, I wasnt going to pay that.

Bought a CycloDSe, EZV and 8gb micro SD for 110 NZD.

Also I only wanted Advance Wars anyway, and they didnt have it in the stores locally.

Course.. being able to play GBC / Sega Megadrive / SNES games is also awesome.

the absolutely SAD thing is....i have every single one of their programs, and they're not the greatest....if they didn't pay their goddamn devs so much, it would only cost around $300 USD..... i read they pay the devs a lot more than even Adobe does.....

    I have many reasons!!

1.the prices for games (any type) are really expensive and it just shows that game developers are being greedy

2.most ds games are really bad so i have to try out the game.

3.i have never got caught and i live in a country that doesn't penalize you for pirating (canada) or atleast i think so

    4. i need to use it for my compatibility list

    6.its plain fun 8)

My reasons are not meant to be harmful to anyone, living or dead!!!! hate messages making fun of my reasons will not be tolerated by me.

    A few reasons, really.
I currently own games that i downloaded copies of here for my r4, so I don't have to fill my pockets with cartridges and still have the option of playing any game I own.
I have a lot of old GBC and GBA games that I'd love to play, but can't find anywhere anymore (Azure Dreams, Magi Nation, etc).
and most obviously, I have little to no cash, and I think I've shelled out enough legitimate money on games that just plain sucked. I'd rather know what a game is like before i shell out any money for it, if i even have the option.

also, once in a while, I'm just a dirty dirty thief.
