what was the 1st game you ever played?

Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64 + Pokemon Blue on GBC = very happy 4 year old

 

We had a pong console when i was like 8 years old (1977), then I got an Atari 2600 a cpl years later, and it came packed with combat! so either of those 2, for consoles.

As far as stand up games, it was probably that gunslinger game or the racing game they had at amusement parks in the 70's. I think one was called Boot Hill...then I remember playing Space Invaders very early..then on to Missile Command, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Kangaroo, Pac Man, Frogger etc. Guess I'm showing my age, I was born in 1969...heh.

Geez, these kids today could NEVER survive in 1984, when we actually didnt have internet...although I did have a Commodore 64/128 with a 2400 baud modem!!! which was THE best at the time, my dad paid like $499 for that external modem, but I could download a game to floppy in under 10 minutes from a BBS.

super mario brothers and duck hunt. we bought the nes action pack during the late 80's and early 90's.
it was awesome!

I was 2ish at the time, and the older brother brought the NES up from the basement and popped it in. games like mario, zelda, tetris, etc would keep me hooked, but the initial draw was some pixilated guy on a motorcycle.

 

For me it was jak and daxter the precursor legacy on the PS2 I beat it like 20 times

 

almost everybody seems to have started with a nintendo, did anyone start with a sega? alex kidd in miracle world on the mastersystem brings back good memories, and sonic on the megadrive.

 

Mine was Pokemon Crystal for the gameboy. Too bad i lost my precious gameboy.
